Seen the great reviews online so we decided to stop by for some breakfast. Big mistake. The grits were not cooked all the way. The biscuits and gravy were horrible at best. The tenderloin was the best of all but just ok. The staff was very friendly and professional but that does not make up for that awful food. Maybe they have a better lunch and dinner menu but this is not the spot for breakfast

Great place to go have breakfast lunch or dinner. Good food, nice atmosphere, and good people. If your in the area make sure you stop in and get some fried green tomato’s or yellow cake with caramel sauce!

This restaurant will catch your attention from the street with its large and attractive sign. When you walk inside, you will be embraced by a rustic space that creates a comforting and homey atmosphere. My party of 16 came in about an hour before close, so there was only one server at the time. She was very kind and got the food to us as quickly as possible. The whole facility, including the restrooms, was super clean. They offered a vast selection of southern-style cooking, including fried chicken, soup beans, meatloaf, fried pickles, and green tomatoes.

Probably a 3 if it wasn’t for the biscuits and gravy. We stopped here on our way north from red river gorge. Looked closed because lights were dim. Walked in and it was eerily quiet with no workers around. Finally told to seat ourselves. Coffee was hot and fresh. Table was dirty and sticky but that’s fine its a diner. No music or noise, everyone was sitting around in a dim room with little noise. Finally ordered and food took about 30 minutes to arrive. Food was good but probably not worth the wait in the future. The biscuits and gravy were at least a redeeming factor. Probably passing on this in the future mainly due to the wait. Hour and fifteen minutes for breakfast is too long.

Had fried peppers, fried green tomatoes, catfish, green beans, fried cornbread, western omelet, sausage and hashbrowns everything was excellent. Waiter said the kitchen was slow and it wasn’t. The waiter was very attentive and extremely nice. Never without anything always checking on us to make sure we were good. We would go back when we visited the area.

The turkey melt was very good. Two friends ordered the fried cornbread and said it was terrible, but thier ham sandwiches were good. The sweet tea was pretty good. The staff seemed very overwhelmed on a Friday afternoon. There was one waitress and one cook, that’s all. I felt for then and tipped well, the only waitress was great!

Nicole did an amazing job! We had a table of 10. She let us know ahead of time she’s the only waitress and that our food will come out as each meal is cooked. Friendly, kind and respectful! She deserved the large tip! Will be back again when we get that way. We came from NE and was on our way home when we stopped.

Some of the food isn’t perfect, the fries I got today were not hot, the soup beans could use some more seasoning, the burger could have been pressed to get some of the grease out, but damn that yellow cake with caramel sauce was perfect. Honest country cooking is getting rare in the world, you need to stop if nearby to get some real cooking at very reasonable prices. Maybe get the homemade potato chips instead of the fries.

Very satisifying experience. All of the fried food was done very well, really good breading. The breakfast food was great, and the portions were way bigger than I was expecting. Why settle for picking either quality or quanity when you can have both! Staff was very friendly, decor was comfortable.

Great food and friendly people, it’s a simple formula for a great country place. Catfish was great and so we’re the onion rings. Salad was lackluster but that’s what you’re going for. Overall highly recommend if you’re in the area
