We went to Ray’s for my grandmother’s birthday. She wanted to try something new and we had never been here but heard great things about the food. I love how Mr. Ray came out to the tables to check and see how we were liking the food and the service. The food was off the chain. They put their foot in everything. When I get paid I am going back to buy a whole tray of the sweet potato cornbread. The macaroni and cheese was delicious. The turkey wing was amazing and falling off the bone. I had the meatloaf, macaroni and cheese and yams. We had so much food on our plates. We had to take some of the food home. I also had the banana pudding cheesecake. Even the chicken ranch salad came out in this huge bowl which was perfect for my dad LOL. Our appetizers were fried green tomatoes and onion rings and between my two grandmothers and my dad, they left no crumbs. Now I don’t eat greens. Don’t judge me but everyone else at the table said they were delicious. I’m mad that I didn’t try the baked beans because I know they would’ve been fire. The vibe at Ray’s was excellent. They had some great music playing and the restrooms were really clean and I love how they have it decorated. Now don’t try to go over there on Monday or Tuesday cuz those are the days that they are closed and Sundays are their busy days with all the church people. We went on a Wednesday afternoon and we were able to come in and sit right down. So with all of that said, kudos to Ray’s SoulFood and also our waitress. She was amazing and very polite. I will be back for the cornbread, and when you put those new items on the menu.

Where do I start . The customer service the young Caucasian lady at the door . Please advise her to smile especially being the first person you see once you enter the establishment .Also let her know never scratch your face and arms and then start wrapping silverware hands should have been washed and then put on gloves . The wait was extremely long the time that was given 1 hour for wait . 2 hrs 15 mins was the actual wait. Once seated had a great waiter her name was Chelsea she was smiling and very pleasant . The food was good and it was a lot for the price .The carry out line is blocking the entrance . That time needs a cutoff. If you close at 7:30 do not accept more customers especially if you already have people for carry out waiting over an hour .My experience was okay will I return me and my family probably .I didn’t get everybody food but I did get my husband and sister plate .

I went to Ray’s Soul Food toward the end of the night around 7:30 p.m. Since they close at 8:00 p.m., I was a little nervous that the food quality might not be the same. However, my turkey leg was absolutely delicious—flavorful, tender, and well-seasoned.

I ordered the Stuffed Turkey Leg with dressing, and it did not disappoint, especially if you’re a fan of dressing. The stuffed turkey leg was $23.99 and worth it.
I also ordered the peach cobbler. It was good, but I personally enjoyed it more after warming it up.

Overall, the food tasted good despite going close to closing time and being take out.

Great portions! Absolutely loved the chicken bacon ranch salad, catfish, greens, and sweet potato cornbread. The mac and cheese, spaghetti, and black eyed peas were just a little bit too sweet for my taste. Service was fast, efficient, and friendly. Will definitely be back to try the other menu items.

Me and my wife went friday at 1230ish. They were not packed at all. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated. The server came over right away and took our drink order. Then our food order. Not a long wait time for the food to come out either. We had the fried green tomatoes, Catfish with mac and cheese and yams, chicken wings with dressing and greens and cabbage mixed and a sweet potato Cornbread. Everything and I mean everything was delicious. The owner even came out to greet us and ask how was everything. Our server was WONDERFUL i wish i had gotten her name. We estimated the bill to be between $60-$80 and it was under $55. And we had plenty of left overs and ate them for dinner. Im definitely going back and taking my mom.

Treated myself to a “company Christmas lunch” last Friday (funny when you work for yourself ) and chose Ray’s Soul Food & Turkey Legs… best decision.
I ordered the soul food turkey leg meal with candied yams, mixed greens, mac and cheese, and sweet potato cornbread. Everything was amazing.
The turkey leg was fall-off-the-bone tender and full of flavor. The candied yams were the perfect level of sweetness, the greens were well seasoned, and the mac and cheese was creamy with great flavor. The sweet potato cornbread was my first time trying it and exceeded expectations.
Portions are huge… I only ate half and saved the rest for later.
Shoutout to my server, Doc… she was super friendly and helped me decide what to order. Comfort food at its finest. I’ll definitely be back.

It took 40 minutes to get baked wings and spaghetti. Customers came in after me and got thier orders before me. I hate supporting black businesses only to be met with poor service. Order taker had poor customer service skills.

Food was fresh and hot. I come from across the water just for the quality and quantity of the food that is given for the money. Armoni was so pleasant and patient with our party of 15. We will be back.

The service was pretty good but misleading as far as how they charge you just make sure you pay attention to your card because if you come with a big party, they will double charge you even if you guys separate on the bills and they charge for gratuity on your bill already and you tipped them you may be double charged a couple days later so pay attention. The food was good. The meat was tender some of the sides. You could’ve definitely made it home though very much overpriced in my opinion for what you get like I said the meat was tender, but the sides were very mediocre if you can cook, you can make it for sure.

When I tell you I enjoyed my food, I enjoyed my food. I had the whole fried catfish. When I was done you would have thought a piranha left the bones.. Fried Okra the best. I love the corn balls. I ate some of my brothercountry fried steak. My Aunt mashed potatoes. All delicious. Staff nice and cheerful. The pricing is fair
