Stopped by Ray’s Roadside Kitchen tonight and it was amazing!
Small, quaint little roadside spot that really hit the spot! The owner is apparently an award winning BBQ Sauce maker (awards everywhere) and his cookbooks and rubs/sauces on display for purchase as well. The Mantra hot sauce is amazing on wings with no need to cut/mix with anything!
We ordered a burger and the fried chicken and both were amazing. The burger was cooked perfectly and was juicy. The chicken was flavorful, juicy and not greasy at all.
They had an awesome soda fountain with “craft” soda available, the sweet tea and cream soda hit the spot! Will definitely return when in the area!

This place is legit! High quality here. As soon as you walk in, you see the signs that the owner/operators are paying attention to every detail and I know I’m in for a treat. The burger was juicy and delicious. Their treats to grab were massive and delicious. Come check this place out, it took me months to give them a shot and I wish I hadn’t waited!

We dined in the restaurant on a Friday evening, which wasn’t very busy just before 5 when we arrived. There are quite a few options on the menu. We ordered a bunch of different things, figuring we would bring home what we didn’t finish (and we brought home enough for another two meals easily). The chili was very good, and although it’s listed as a starter…there is more than enough to share with multiple people. Their wings are very good, nice and crispy, not greasy at all, and the Memphis BBQ sauce is awesome. We had the southern fried chicken – also awesome, and not greasy at all. The pulled pork sandwich is very good too. For sides, we tried fries and the mac and cheese – both are very good. The staff is very friendly and helpful (and patient while we took forever to decide!). The food came out quickly and was piping hot. The seating area is relatively small, but wasn’t full while we were there. We will most definitely be back for more. After all, we didn’t have any room left for dessert!

We were the only customer’s in store,I said to the girl it’s our first time here, she replied and said what do you want. Our food was cold ham and green beans from a can. French fries cold, the inside is painted very cool, but no friendliness.

Fried chicken is 10/10. Amazingly juicy. Perfectly cooked. Coleslaw and green beans are great as sides from my experience. Had take out with 6 people, wonderful reviews from everyone. Not a single complaint about anything. REAL DEAL

A must stop for any passerby! Dined in for lunch with my family. We got burgers (kids and the Big Ron) and fried chicken. They were cooked perfectly and the special sauce on the Big Ron was great! Fries were crisp and tasty, with the perfect amount of salt on them (not overdone like at most other places). I wanted to get everything on the menu but realized that I just need to come back to sample everything. Got some blueberry cobbler and cookie bars to go and they were the bomb!
Lastly, love when owners spark up conversation with guests to see how food is and talk about menu items. Really hope to see this business thrive!

The food, sauces and service were outstanding. My toddler was literally drinking the bbq sauce, which has no artificial dyes! The fish sandwich, burger, and pulled pork were delicious and the meat is fresh and locally sourced. The prices are great considering that even the drinks in the soda fountain have zero artificial colors or sweeteners. It was incredibly obvious after chatting with Ray briefly just how much his business, customers and community mean to him which is so refreshing. We will definitely be back!!
