We had the opportunity to try Rays On The River prior to a show at Cobb Center. Four stars because the service fell short. Drinks were amazing, fig old fashion and spicy margarita. Tuna tartare was one of the best we had in the area. Wagyu burger was cooked perfect and truly enjoyed the super thin shoe string fries! (The bacon was missing from my husbands burger). The pasta was a treat and has a little kick to it.
The service…. 2 stars. We waited 22 minutes for our second drink. We had asked for more wontons to finish our tunatare (it only comes with 5 wontons). We had to wait 15 minutes…. Also we were out of drinks. Our entrees came out and we still had not received our second round of drinks. I ordered Chardonnay (Rombauer) and received whitehaven Savignon Blanc. It was not corrected and I paid $6 more on my bill. The service was lacking to say the least. When we sat down, she was charming. My husband feels that she fell off after we ordered the burger and pasta. Which could be… our bill was still $200 – so we feel the service should have been better. We will give them another chance because the scenery was beautiful and they have great drinks and a decent menu.

An absolutely unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. The servers and bartender were truly exceptional, warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor.

What truly made the night special was the incredible service provided by Blythe and Trevor. Their attention to detail, kindness, and professionalism went above and beyond, turning our Christmas Party into a truly magical experience. Ray’s on the River is not just a restaurant, it’s an experience we will cherish and gladly return to. Highly recommended

Went to Ray’s to celebrate my birthday with my best friend and had an AMAZING TIME!!! We arrived right at 5 and had no trouble finding free parking in the main lot. Our table was ready exactly at our reservation time, which was a great start.

Our waitress, Britney, was so sweet and attentive! She gave us some great recommendations, and we decided on the Blackened Salmon and the Blackened Redfish Pontchartrain with creamed spinach and lobster mac & cheese. The food was absolutely delicious — the mac & cheese was just okay, but everything else was perfection.

The property itself is beautiful! The river and garden views make such a stunning backdrop for pictures, and everyone we encountered was super friendly. Overall, it was such a wonderful birthday dinner and an experience I’d happily recommend!

D.J M. provided exceptional service throughout the entire evening. He was knowledgeable about the menu, attentive without being intrusive and ensured that every detail was taken care of efficiently. I was there for my “pre wedding dinner” but it was actually for my maid of honor who got proposed that evening. His outgoing personality, professionalism and friendly demeanor elevated our dining experience. I would highly recommend him as our server again. Thank you DJ!

We went for brunch and boy was it a treat! We sat outside on a beautiful fall day —there’s heaters. Very good service, the shrimp cocktail and one of my drinks came out smoking which added some razzle dazzle. The food was very tasty and we went out near the river to finish our drinks. Best brunch ever!

My boyfriend and I visited Ray’s for our four year anniversary. We had calamari and rolls for our appetizers and the ribeye and filet mignon with lobster mac & Brussels for our entrees. All of it was delicious and although my boyfriend CJ’s steak wasn’t cooked to his liking, our server Tangie took it back to the kitchen for it to be cooked longer and then it was perfect. We really appreciated our server Tangie and the management team coming to check on us during service. We also received a complimentary anniversary dessert. Thanks everyone for a great experience!

Ray’s by the River has a beautiful, warm, and cozy atmosphere, and the service was truly great, attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the evening. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the price point.
The calamari was disappointing. It wasn’t served with lime, had more crumbs than actual calamari, and lacked flavor overall. The sauce helped a bit, but it wasn’t enough to make it memorable. My Delmonico ribeye was another letdown for $75, I expected much more. It arrived burnt, and the fact that a steak at that price doesn’t come with a single side is honestly hard to justify. The salmon Oscar was decent, though the portion felt unbalanced more potatoes than salmon. Overall, the dishes didn’t reflect the premium pricing, and the experience felt overpriced for what was delivered. While the service and ambiance were excellent, the food quality fell short of expectations. I really wanted to love this place, but for the cost, I expected a much better culinary experience.

Wife ans I went there on a Friday off worl for lunch. We decides to try the market oyster west coast, and crab cake for apetisers. Both were delicious . Lunch i ordered the dry aged ribeye of the dinner menu since steaks can be ordered even though not lunch. I got mine medium it cooked to perfection off course with the southern flavor added:) wife ordered mashed potatoes which i tasted and they were so delicious. My asparagus was cooked to perfection. We tried warm butter cake for desert. Only thing i wouod do differenr is ask for blueberries and ice cream on side and not on the cake. Waitress was attentive and professional. Price as you would expect for high end steak so wasnt surprised. I would definately return.

This was my first visit to this restaurant, something I had been looking forward to for quite some time. A dear friend and I met for lunch, and we had an incredible experience. Our server, Tangeria, was outstanding. She was attentive, recommended a drink that we both found absolutely phenomenal, and had such a warm and personable demeanor.

The atmosphere was perfect for reconnecting, especially since my friend and I hadn’t seen each other in years. Tangeria made sure we had plenty of time to catch up and provided excellent food recommendations. She truly made us feel like VIPs!

As a thoughtful gesture, she even surprised us with a complimentary dessert because our Caesar salads took longer than expected to arrive. I can’t wait for their outdoor area to be completed; this restaurant will definitely become a staple for me. I hope to have Tangeria as my server every time!

Celebrated our 5 year anniversary here and EVERY thing was perfect. We’d been to Ray’s in the City several times but decided to try something new. The complimentary valet parking was super easy and the attendant was friendly. Matt, our server, was so attentive and even recognized our anniversary. The food (crab cake appetizer, salmon oscar, lobster mac, and scallop risotto) was better than delicious. The crème brûlée chef’s kiss. 10/10 highly recommend
