Ari is by far the best waitress I’ve ever had at an established. Honestly, probably one of my most favorite humans alive. The food was amazing and everything was perfect. It’s pricey, but totally worth the experience.

From start to finish, everything felt polished and well worth the upscale setting. The level of service matched the refined atmosphere perfectly, as it always does here. Both the food and cocktails were expertly prepared and didn’t miss a beat. Our server was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful, walking us through the menu and offering spot-on suggestions for both wine and mixed drinks. It’s refreshing to dine somewhere that delivers consistency, quality, and thoughtful service every single time.

Ray’s In the City is a pretty nice place located right in the heart of downtown Atlanta. The ambience feels upscale yet comfortable, making it a great spot for a proper sit-down meal.
I’d definitely recommend making reservations ahead of time, especially on weekends, because the place gets really busy. I tried the filet mignon, East Coast oysters, and the short ribs — all of them were really good. The oysters were fresh, the filet mignon was perfectly cooked, and the short ribs were absolutely delicious and full of flavor.
Overall, a solid dining experience in a prime downtown location.

Ray’s in the City – Atlanta
Ray’s in the City offers an upscale dining experience centered around exceptional seafood, prime cuts, and an impressive wine list, all elevated by weekly live jazz that sets the mood perfectly.
The food and service were superb from start to finish. We began with oysters, which were fresh, flavorful, and full of depth—an excellent way to start the meal. The blackened lobster was well-executed and delicious, though slightly overdone for my personal preference. One true standout was the crab soup—rich, comforting, and absolutely outstanding.
The cocktails were absolutely delicious, thoughtfully crafted, and paired beautifully with the meal. Dessert was enjoyable overall, though it could have been slightly more refined in terms of balance and flavor to truly match the level of the rest of the experience.
Overall: a fantastic dining experience with top-tier service, memorable seafood, great drinks, and an elegant atmosphere—perfect for a special night out in Atlanta.

The staff was very welcoming and professional. They knew my name from the reservation and were always attentive. The grouper and scallops were wonderful along with the brussel sprouts. The bread ordered was a bit too burnt on the top. The desert was again phenomenal. You will not go wrong stepping into Rays in the heart of Atlanta. They also have a great selection of wines, steaks, and other desserts. Enjoy.

The Best Meal and Service that I had in my visit to Atlanta Georgia. The hostess was very kind, the waiter Alex very professional, and the food was delicious. My favorite dish was the Calamari appetizer. The salmon was also cooked perfectly. I will definitely Come here the next time I am in Atlanta.

What you need to do is go see Renika and Melissa at the bar at Ray’s in the city. Super quick and personable service… best espresso martini in town. Sa’ron was a fantastic server for our large party!! Food was tasty and cooked to perfection. We had such a great time as a group and her smile was infectious — made our national team feel like we were all at home.

Yesterday, Saturday, March 7 my sister and I came in around noon to grab some lunch. The bartender was Renika, and she was fantastic! We were the only people at the bar at the time and she made sure we had every single thing that we needed, we had the best conversation, and overall just the best time! I had the she crab soup, brussels sprouts, and a crabcake. The brussels sprouts!? I’m a brussels sprout connoisseur and I will say they are definitely top five for me. My sister had the chicken cutlet and the creamed spinach and she loved it. Management even came out to say hi. It was more of an impromptu lunch, but Renika made it so memorable and fun! This is definitely gonna become one of our staples!

Anniversary dinner at Ray’s In The City! If you’re looking for a sophisticated night out in Downtown ATL, this is the spot. The food was incredible, the drinks were flowing, and our waiter even doubled as our personal photographer!
Valet Pro-tip – The valet is actually at the Hotel Indigo entrance. Pull up, put your blinkers on, and give the valet a shout so they know you’re there for Ray’s.
Overall a 10/10 experience and we’ll definitely be back!
