Absolutely THE BEST food in the area, hands down no question at all!! I’m a foodie and I can be critical so please trust when I say this is TOP TIER. Everything is FRESH and cooked to PERFECTION every single time! Fresh ingredients, fresh grease for fried foods, perfect seasoning, perfect cook! Can’t say enough good things about the lunch I’ve had here. It’s so good I’ve started going 3 times per week. The owner is so nice and the affordable prices just can’t be beat! Line should be out the door. Can’t wait to try the breakfast! Def a hidden gem!

I’ve never been to the area and was looking for a quick meal and saw this on the map and decided to try it. WOW. The food was phenomenal. Genuinely some of the best food I’ve ever had. And the people? They were on another level. Felt like dining with family even though I’ve never met any of them! Truly great experience and I can’t recommend it enough. If you’re in the area, definitely give it a try

We stopped at vittles food hall in between games of a soccer tournament. There was only one place open when we stopped in the morning and it was Rays diner. We had the chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits and it was delicious. The chicken was super crispy and moist and Ray was great to talk to. If you can stop by vittles and want some great food then try Rays diner

A delayed flight sent us down the street for a night. The closest restaurant to your hotel was closed so we took a long shot on Ray’s. We WON big time. Great food, super hospitality in a district primed for a major renaissance. We wish the Chester community the best and look forward to tasting more from Ray’s.
