I’ve eaten a lot of BBQ in my days! My husband and I travel a lot, and I am here to say that Ray Baes is by far the best I’ve ever had!! The brisket was tender, the turkey was delicious, and the spare ribs…wow!! The smoked flavor is spot on! It’s a family owned and operated business, and everyone is super friendly!! I wasn’t skeptical at all about stopping here while making runs all day long driving past it getting the hunger fit everytime I passed by them. I am very glad that I did. Ray & Liz are fabulous people and are very kind and welcoming. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with cheesey corn on the side and a slab of ribs to go. Just look at that sucker! Everything was absolutely delicious. I will be coming back but on two wheels next time.

It is a ritual for my wife and I to come here every Saturday and sometimes Friday and sometimes Thursday… it’s really good. the meat is all smoked and cooked to perfection. you have the option to warm it and eat it in the restaurant, or take it home and heat it yourself. I can’t tell you how many times I drove past this place thinking it was nothing, but let me tell you… this place is a must for brisket/rib/sausage/burnt end lovers everywhere. My favorite is the burnt ends. Tell them Lonnie sent ya. 😉 They are the kind of family eatery that will know your name after a couple visits. I cannot recommend them enough.

Have been to Ray Rae’s several time and have been impressed each time. Wonderful owners who care about the product they put out and they do offer a few things that you don’t find at other BBQ shops. The Pulled Pork and Louisiana Sausage is out of this world, Brisket and Ribs were great too. Still making my way through the menu but am enjoying each time I try something new and visiting the old favorites. This is one of our go to places when you want good food at a good price.

If you want THE BEST BBQ take the drive to Ray’s. I just got this for my wife, for her birthday dinner. My wife, kids and I fell in love. We had our share but by far this is the BEST!! I will be going here time and time again. The most friendly people own and run the restaurant. Very cozy dining room. Again the friendliest people, very inviting, and make you feel right at home. Must try if your a BBQ lover. We tried everything from the brisket, to the ham, and most importantly the burnt ends, and everything was amazing!!!!

Very impressed! The two who own this business are a sweet couple who have perfected bbq together in the 52 years they proudly told me they’ve been married. Very clean little place. Everything is homemade and delicious! They were so nice and extremely proud of their business, happy to share some of their recipes, little sweets and treats which are all also homemade and yummy. We will be going back, as regular customers! If you haven’t tried Ray Rae’s, you’re missing out!

One the best kept secret for BBQ in Cass County . Brisket is tender you can see the smoke rings ,burnt ends melt like butter and pulled pork is perfection!!!

I had the best brisket sandwich that I can remember! And I am 62, from Texas, and have had a lot of BBQ. The large is 1/2 pound and well worth the money. It is indeed a “shack”, but if you want excellent BBQ, this is one of the best!!
