Really disappointing experience. We had wanted to support one more time before they sold so we decided to order take out for a fancy, fun Valentine’s dinner at home as a family. We placed our order online and received confirmation and an estimated pick up time. Set the table, let our toddler get fancy, went to pick up and the doors were locked with a paper note on the door. Closed today. Nothing like dealing with two hungry kids excited for tacos with no food on the busiest restaurant night of the year. You’ve gotta update your online platforms if you’re going to do that.

Changing my review from five to four. I’ve been here twice and had great food both times but a completely different service experience – even with the same waitress each time.

The first time, we were served super quick. The second time, we waited close to an hour and a half for our food. I was pregnant and we weren’t even drinking – just sitting there! They were busy but not *that* busy. It also happened to be my birthday so this was an extra bummer.

We decided to give them five minutes to get to the table or we were walking out, which I’ve never done before in my life. The food came exactly three minutes later so we stayed.

I’ll probably give them another chance but it’s pretty clear you can expect a very wide variation in the service depending on the night.

Consistent food and wait staff attentive the night we were in but only a few tables filled. Sangria was very sweet, and Mexican beer was good.

We started with chips and salsa, very good choice. They offer four options My son reported his steak taco was cooked to perfection! The veggies looked and tasted very fresh. My quesadilla was yummy and the wrap had a slight crisp to the edge, delicious!

I have been here previously and found it to be very loud on this evening only one or two other table when we arrived.

They do not accept reservations unless you are a party of 6 or more. Limits when I might go to avoid a wait or nights I am headed to the Wood I like to go someplace where we can get in and out.

We stopped in tonight for dinner at Raul’s after not eating here since late winter. Unfortunately, it will not be a repeat for us.
The tater tots with queso were, sadly, bland and mushy. The inside of the tot had no seasonings to add flavor. The queso was fine, but not nearly enough of it to add sufficient taste.
I ordered the pibil chicken tacos. First off, I tried the rice, which was literally still crunchy. The taco was not as I expected. I ordered the pork pibil tacos and asked to sub the chicken instead (usually offered on a salad instead of a taco). No cheese as it said on the description and instead of sautéed onions, mine came with (lots of) red raw onions.
Finally, dessert. The apple burrito was not as I remembered. The caramel on top tasted more burned than anything. Apples on the inside were still hard, not soft as usual.
These were all items that we have ordered and enjoyed previously. Unfortunately, we will probably not prioritize returning with so many other more consistent options available.

Feel I was given a pot roast vs brisket. Know cuts r similar but seemed far from brisket and waitress claimed was brisket. $16.50 for burrito w dried pot roast and small side of rice and beans was too much. The churros were dried sticks w coco powder. $9. Was terrible. Feel bad posting this. Staff was nice and attentive. Food was bad. Charged for chips and salsa. Then a refill for more salsa to match chip portion. Most places give u some. definitely not eat here again. This should be listed higher as $$$ for cost vs $$. Average entree is $16 to $28 for “plated food”. Again wish staff well. Doing best am sure. Also the 4 bean burrito was only black beans. Who isn’t going to notice that?

We came seeking authentic Mexican food. This establishment is more of a pub that serves Mexican inspired food. I should have known that we were off the mark when we walked in to Beyoncé on the house speakers.

I was excited to go back to Raul’s for lunch based on the hours posted online, but once we arrived at the restaurant, the hours were posted outside that they were not open until 4! Hopefully the hours can be updated online. We will be back!

We had a great time and dinner at Raul’s. They have a nice selection of mixed drinks, and what might have been the largest basket of chips and the most amount of guac I’ve ever gotten for an appetizer. Food was great too, we unfortunately didn’t save enough room for dessert. Their hard shell tacos were particularly tasty.

My waitress was super cool and attentive. Its family friendly, they have a kids menu. Let’s talk about the portions…the portion were big. Wasn’t a fan of their pina colada at all but everything else was bueno!

We usually order Raul’s a few times a month but lately the takeout has gotten really bad. Tonight we were very disappointed and wanted to make the owner’s aware because it’s sad to see such a great restaurant slip in quality. We had 2 orders of the portobello burrito which is usually packed with vegetables and served with a generous side of rice and beans. Tonight’s order had barely any vegetables and the peppers were cut extremely large…peppers actually made up 90% of the burrito which was not great. In addition, the portion of beans and rice was very small. Basically a teaspoon of beans. Unfortunately it’s going to be a while before we order again.
