Accidentally run into this place while on the way to our hotel from visiting the Portland Headlight. Glad we stopped by to try the New England famous Moxie soda, for the very first time. We had the best herbal tonic drink ever. Tried honey basil, lemon, cherry bitters and Grapes, mint, limes, lemongrass tonic drink. It was phenomenal. Absolutely delicious, love it plus, plus. It’s a must try ya’ll Also we had a plate of fried calamari. I love their homemade dipping hot sauce so much that I decided to buy a whole bottle, even though it’s not for sale, but I’m so lucky to be able to purchase it The whole staff were super nice and friendly. If I happen to be in the area again, I’ll will definitely stop by.

Super fun and quirky. Table tops are old comic book pages with clear polyurethane on top. The guys behind the counter in the kitchen were laughing it up and having their own conversation. Our waitress was very attentive. Menu was simple and not overwhelming. I had the fried chicken sandwich and a coffee milkshake. Overall it was a great experience and would go back.

This place was great. We stopped by while on a family vacation. We got in after they had technically closed for the night but the owner was incredibly gracious and even though he had already cleaned the milkshake machines for the day he served us anyway. We sat there feeling completely unrushed and had a great conversation with him about the area and places to visit and his experiences and it was just a wonderful chat. As a bonus all of our shakes were amazing. I can’t speak to the food but based on the quality of the ingredients used in the milkshakes and the amount of attention and time he took with both us and our food I can only imagine that the regular menu is great. If you’re in the area definitely stop in and give the place a try.

A nice little burger shack. Outside seating area was nice. Pricing isn’t bad. Better than some places we looked into while vacationing in Maine. Parking wasn’t terrible, but it was hard to park initially because of heavy traffic.
Food was good. Fried chicken sandwich was just the right size. Fries were perfectly crispy. The side of house slaw was bigger than I was expecting, which was nice. Great taste. Not used to red onions in slaw, so it was different. Surprisingly filling! My kids all enjoyed their food as well

We had a server who brought us waters right off the bat, which was nice. (Younger woman with long dark hair and was wearing a beanie.) She came back a bit later to take food and drink orders. She returned with our drinks and then never came back to the table again. Food took quite awhile for them not being busy at all, much longer than one would expect. Our food was delivered by a different woman (blonde and middle aged) she was pleasant, I asked for some mayo and she returned with it immediately. I had a Rueben, which was extremely dry corned beef, cheese and sauerkraut. I walked up to their server station/hostess stand to request thousand island which they did not have, so asked for some relish and mayo (we had ketchup already so I could mix up my own dressing) , and the woman (who was our original server) looked exasperated when I requested them. My husbands burger was way overcooked and dried out. Our toddler had the kid’s fish and chips, the fish was cooked fine, but had this strange metallic and chlorine taste to it. All of our fries were overcooked. They tasted as though they had been fried, sat in the fry basket until they cooled and were fried again to try and revive them. We paid (no check was ever brought to the table, we again had to approach the hostess stand/server station) and left, and will never return again.
The sad part is, I had visited with just myself and my toddler back at the end of last summer and we had such a vastly different experience. Something besides the name of this place has changed, and it wasn’t for the better.

Based on how cool the outside looked, we decided to try it when roadtripping throughout Maine. I’d assume it is even nicer on a day it’s not pouring out as they have a really nice outdoor seating area and the table we sat at had a garage type door next to me that (I’d assume) opens when it’s warmer.
We had one of the very front tables and luckily ordered before the dinner mob for pick ups started coming in.
The place is really neat with all the decorations and little touches. Our table top looked like it came from a cartoon book!
Definitely a really cool and eclectic place with a huge bar top on the other side of the restaurant.
Food was mediocre-I got a grilled cheese and fries (it was burned a little for me) and my husband got a burger and fries(not pictured)
We also got an orange cream float and a liquor filled milkshake. (They make them really strong and well worth the money)
Prices were pretty affordable for the area we were in and overall, the decor and set up of this restaurant made the just average food not as “average” anymore!

Great spot!! Was recommended hear by a friend but it took me a while to finally stop in. Tried some take out on a Saturday and it was great, so I went back to eat lunch there the next day. House burger and fries are awesome and came out hot and fresh. Also tried the chicken sandwich and the onion rings which were also very good. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and tasty beers. Will be a regular stop in the future.

Originally, we had a reservation for dimillos, after looking at the menu we decided to find somewhere else to eat. We saw this place on the drive to the port head lighthouse and could not have been happier! The service was very fast and Nonchalant but extremely helpful! The outdoor seating gave a very cute diner feel. We ordered the Haddock Cakes, having never tried Haddock, these were amazing. The sauce that was given with the cakes was just the right amount, not too much or too less. Then the A&C cheeseburger was so full of flavor and the fries were very crispy! 10/10 if I lived here I would be back!

I can’t FATHOM anybody giving this place below five stars…
First of all, the bartender, I think his name was Clavin? AMAZING service. Highly personable and always excited for a good conversation. A&C is the place to be on Wednesday nights for trivia! The staff handles the busyness and rowdiness with patience and grace. The burger is otherworldly, and the fries, well, I can’t get enough! 10/10 would recommend!

The staff here were super friendly and the food was also delicious! We got an an and c cheeseburger, fried chicken sandwich, and strawberry shake and everything was really great! Both sandwiches came with fries that were pretty crispy and the bread they used for the sandwiches was super soft — highly recommend!
