Place is off the beaten track but well worth the trip. On the river. Has a store and gas. One sides the bar one side is the store. Gas for boats also. Great food and friendly service. We enjoyed the live music also. Make the trip.

I really wanted to like this place but we must have come on an off night. We sat inside because the bar area was crowded- to be expected on a summer evening. The menu is basic and food is just that. Nothing special but done well. The service was the worst part. Sitting inside you will be in the same room with the kitchen and discussions between staff. Our server seemed overwhelmed at the corrections from the kitchen staff and her tables. While she was very friendly I think she needed help running food. One of the kitchen staff finally started bringing food so I got my order. About 20min later my husband got his. There seems to be a need for training or different communication between kitchen and waitstaff. Great place for a drink but I don’t think we will come back to eat.

Food quality is the same as a kids baseball game and double the price. This particular cheeseburger is $15. This frozen patty tastes like it’s from Costco or Sam’s club.

Worst service we’ve ever experienced. We waited 20+ minutes not one person acknowledged us. They were not very busy and the servers looked over at us, pointed at us, but never came to our table. We watched them wait on other tables that came in after us too. I would not give this place your money

We were just traveling through back to NJ and found this place along the way. We love off-the-beaten path places and spend a lot of time eating where the locals eat. Imagine our surprise when we found this quaint little eatery in MS that ended up being the highlight of our 3,000 mile drive!

The atmosphere is just what you’d expect from a little riverside and grill. Great outdoor eating deck with plenty of room for everyone. We lucked out and it was karaoke with one of the most gracious DJs we’ve met. He sang some classic Jimmy Buffet songs and then invited our daughter (6 years old) to share the spotlight. She chose her favorite song (Ride by 21 Pilots) but froze up a few lyrics in and let the stage. Everyone in the place cheered for her and encouraged her to try again. He stepped down and asked her if she wanted to try again. She agreed with the encouragement of her big sister (11 years old) and they rocked out some Moana and Katy Perry! Everyone cheered and we felt right at home. One couple even talked us about their own amazing daughter and her karaoke experience there and we linked up on Facebook!

The people in this place are the best you’ll find anywhere! If you are anywhere near this area, please stop in and give them some love.

Unfortunately, the pulled pork wasn’t ready tonight but we had the chicken sandwich, fried pickles, fried okra, lemon pepper chicken wings, and chicken quesadilla. Everything was good. We had no complaints on the food or service. They were very attentive and showed wonderful hospitality.

I wish we didn’t have to make it to Tuscaloosa tonight because I would have set up the camper in the parking lot and stayed much longer! Truly a diamond in the rough.

Thank you to the staff and the wonderful patrons of Ratliff Ferry for giving our family a core memory we will never forget. <3

By the water, who could ask for anything more! Darryl is a pretty awesome guy! We were wanting a drink but realized store had just closed. Darryl was kind enough to run back in and get us 2 drinks on him! Kindness sure goes a long way! Beautiful day riding !! ✌

Hamburgers are really good. Count your change, though. Bill was $19.00 but needed change to leave the tip. Instead of wanting to leave $3.00, somehow, I ended up paying $8.00 tip on a $19.00 bill. It’s hard for a single woman to get friendly service from young female waitresses. I always tip no matter where I go. Makes no sense. People nowadays ?

Mickenzie was an excellent server. She took great care of us. The shrimp platter was an excellent portion and very seasoned. Shoutout to the cook. We will definitely be back due to this wonderful experience. ❤️
