These prices for this tiny sandwich is ridiculous!
For almost $20, way more meat should be on that sandwich. I came here to be stuffed after eating a good tasting sandwich like this one.

One stop shop at Math’s you get your sandwich here, then go next door to satisfy yojr sweet tooth. Ordered all pastrami sandwich to go. Had the chance to eat it the next day. The sandwich was packed and full of flavor. Will go back again to try the Cheesesteak next.

Best butcher spot in the area. Great cuts of meat. Every cut is quality. They make great sandwiches but their home made jerky is the freshest and tenderness is by far the best quality i have in years. House jerky is about 15 per bag but worth every penny when looking for a protein boost. They got that part figured out and many flavor option to choose from. They even make tender cut jerky.

We enjoy Rath’s once or twice a year. The food is great quality but the price is just too high to be a regular stop for us. Staff is really friendly and they know their products. I ordered a porkroll and cheese sandwich which was pretty good. I was looking forward to a kaiser roll but they only had these brioche buns…not a fan. But, now I know. My husband ordered a pastrami Ruben sandwich on rye. The sandwich was delicious.

I’m not even sure why, but for some reason I put off going in and checking out Rath’s Deli in Phillipsburg for a long time now. Everytime I was near by there was somewhere else higher on my list of importance so I’d just keep saying “next time”. Today…was next time.
I also now feel incredibly dumb for putting this off. Fresh ribeye with cheddar, mushrooms, and onions on a garlic bread roll. Not my typical cheesesteak order but it’s their steak and I’ve been told to try it many times. Well, those people were right. That is a tasty sandwich! All the flavors blend together really nicely. The only critiques I would have are the price (which is the nature of the industry really if you’re a butcher shop serving real ribeye) and the exterior of the roll could have been crustier for my personal preference. The sandwich and a 20oz soda was $19

When I called the restaurant to report this issue, the response was utterly unprofessional. The young man who answered the phone not only hung up on me but also failed to provide any assistance when I called back. Claiming to be the only person in the store, his demeanor was dismissive, and the background laughter I heard only added to my frustration.
This incident wasn’t my first negative experience with Raths Deli. Previously, I had purchased one of their pre-made frozen meals, labeled as Swedish meatballs, only to discover it contained no meatballs at all. When I reached out to them, they acknowledged the mislabeling but refused to rectify their mistake.
The overall customer service at this establishment is a significant concern. Many patrons, including myself, have been warned about the lack of managerial presence or ownership accountability, especially when issues arise. This aligns with my experiences where no satisfactory resolutions were offered.
