This is a North Indian/Punjabi-style restaurant where I stopped by on a weekday to pick up lunch. When I arrived, the place was completely empty, and I had to wait a little while as they prepared the food from scratch , which I actually appreciated because everything felt fresh. It’s a small space with a few tables, aesthetically pleasant, and thankfully without heavy lingering food smells.

I ordered a chicken curry with tandoori roti. The chicken was flavorful, slightly spicy and a bit greasy , but that’s quite typical for this style of cuisine. Overall, it tasted fresh and satisfying.

The real highlight, however, was the aloo tikki chaat – easily one of the best chaats I’ve had in recent times. It featured two crispy potato patties topped with yogurt, multiple chutneys, onions, beetroot, cilantro, and other garnishes. The combination of tangy, sweet, spicy, and savory flavors created an absolute flavor bomb. For those unfamiliar, chaat is a popular Indian street-food category known for its vibrant and layered taste profiles, and this version was exceptionally well executed.

We had an incredible meal at Rathore’s Kitchen! The Jaljeera was the perfect, refreshing start—tangy and chilled. The Dahi Bhalla and Aloo Tikki Chaat were phenomenal; the balance of chutneys and crunch was spot on.
We also ordered the Desi Ghee Aloo Paratha and Rotis, but honestly, they vanished so fast I couldn’t even get a photo! Everything was so fresh and flavorful, especially the Palak Saag, which was the perfect way to round off the meal. Authentic flavors and great vibes. We’ll definitely be back!

Rathore Kitchen is a gem! Amazing, very flavorful food and you can truly feel the love that goes into it. It’s a family-owned restaurant, and that personal touch really stands out. We tried their Rawalpindi chole bhature and dal tadka with rice—both were absolutely delicious and packed with authentic flavors. The jaljeera and lemon soda were refreshing and complemented the meal perfectly.

Simran, the owner, is incredibly sweet, and her hospitality made the experience feel so personalized and welcoming. Wishing Rathore Kitchen great success and lots of happy customers—highly recommended

We randomly decided to try this place and got super impressed with the taste of their food. We tried their dahi bhalla chat, chicken egg roll, smoky butter chicken, lachha paratha, and mango lassi. Everything was delicious and felt authentic, especially their chat will take you back to Delhi.

This is a small place that used to be a takeout only place earlier but now has a full menu. They have space for about 8 tables of 2 or 4 people each so not a large place and parking can be challenging too.

The food was ok. Some dishes were good but the yellow tadka deal was watery and not dhaba style. The paneer tikka as a starter has some masala that didn’t go well with me. The cutlery and presentation style is very good even though the place is so small.

We ordered a lunch takeout on Christmas Day and the wait for the takeout was worth it . The food was very fresh , the aroma of the spices wafted through the air the minute we got into the restaurant. The food was non greasy and very light. Of course , very authentic . The Chole flavor was spot on . The Batura was soggy as they must have wrapped a hot Batura without airing it .Dahi balla papdi chat had the street food taste and so did yummy samosas . The restaurant was clean and very friendly owner/manager .
Much needed take out /dine close to Los Altos that doesn’t dent your wallet .

Finally found an Indian spot that tastes like a real home-cooked meal! You can actually tell Rathore’s Kitchen doesn’t use artificial colors or heavy purees. The Methi Malai Mutter was rich and creamy without greasy and tasted exactly like a traditional Punjabi recipe. It’s refreshing to have food that’s flavorful but easy on the stomach. 10/10 recommend for anyone craving authentic Indian flavors and quality.
My wife ordered a Paneer sandwich and it was excellent. The only thing we regret is we didnt take pictures of the food. The presentation is awesome, esp the rose shaped kulfi. Simply brilliant!!

Rathore’s Kitchen in Mountain View is truly a hidden gem if you’re craving authentic, home-style Indian food. Every dish feels like it’s been made with genuine care and attention, just like food cooked by mom’s hands. The quality of the ingredients really stands out, and you can taste the freshness and love in every bite. The service is warm and friendly, making the whole experience even more comforting. It’s the kind of place you go to not just for great food, but for that wholesome, heartfelt feeling that’s hard to find elsewhere.

Must try: chole bature and Kathi rolls

I ordered the chicken curry and garlic naan from Rathore Kitchen, and it was one of the most delicious meals I’ve ever had. The chicken was perfectly cooked, full of rich flavor, and the curry had just the right amount of spice. The garlic naan was soft, fresh, and paired perfectly with the curry.
Overall, amazing experience — highly recommended!
