I’ve been visiting the Gardena Rascals for years before the COVID pandemic and the food items have been pretty good. The service, usually is good; however, today is the exception.
I arrived at 3:40 in the afternoon and it was fairly busy, not surprised, and I expected a bit of wait.
My order was simple cheeseburger with a turkey patty and no tomato, that’s it, very simple order.
My order number was 325.
Customers ahead of me received their orders, mostly plate meals, no sandwiches.
There were seven customers behind me who ordered plate meals, some with a salad.
Those seven customers received their orders ahead of my simple turkey burger.
While other customers before and after me received their orders, I was still waiting. I saw my order was ready, but did not say anything since it was busy.
But, after 7 customers received their orders before me, order numbers 326-332, and my order still sitting on kitchen top counter ready for pick up, I decided to ask about my order, which was 7 orders ago.
The employee that I asked responded that he had a lot going on and shoved my order in a paper bag, no thank you or you’re welcome. I thought how rude! I’ve seen this employee before and I wouldn’t say that he’s the friendliest of the employees at the Gardena Rascals. Like, who peed in his Cheerios?
I’ve also noticed that a few employees who worked at the Gardena Rascals before mid-2025 are no longer with the Gardena Rascals. Too bad, they were friendly and helpful.
I understand it was busy when I arrived, but I was more than a little put off given that my order was a simple one, turkey cheeseburger and nothing else, and, all the customers arriving after me received their orders before me.
Usually, I order online, but today I was a block or so away from Rascals and decided to walk in and order.
I should’ve taken the time to order online.
I would’ve given this review 1 star if it wasn’t for the quality of my turkey burger, it broke da mouth!
Anyways, I’ll stick to online orders in the future so I won’t have to deal with rude employees.

One of my favorite grab and go places. All though there are tables for dining in I never do. The Chinese chicken salad is amazing. The teriyaki sauce is absolutely delicious. I recently added the broccoli chicken bowl to my dining experience and it hasn’t proven a bad choice. Definitely a staple in my roledex of restaurants.

When I arrived I noticed salads in a fridge type case next to the pick up station. While waiting, I wondered if it was working and if it was really keeping the salads fresh. When I arrived home, I immediately placed my salad still in its original packaging inside of the fridge. I had also ordered a beef bowl and would save my salad for the next day. Next day, chicken had turned grey and had a foul odor. This Gardena location is serving spoiled chicken. Please be cautious when ordering here. I am truly disgusted!

Rascal’s Teriyaki Grill in Gardena is amazing! They seriously have the best French fries in LA—tender, perfectly seasoned, and always fresh. I could go just for the fries alone.
I also love their coleslaw—it’s fresh, crunchy, and has the perfect balance of flavor. The food is consistently delicious, portions are generous, and it’s a great spot for a satisfying meal. Highly recommend if you’re in the area! ✨

So good! Always fast and great service! Still very affordable! Today and many visits my go to is the Chinese Chicken Salad. The large was around $12 (including tax). A huge portion and often times I have leftovers. All the items are fairly priced, great quality and service can’t he beat. Restaurant also has tons of seating.

If you’re looking to have some great Teriyaki fast food, then this is the best place to come by and check it out! Today had the teriyaki and chicken plate with there best salad in town, and believe me it is really GOOD. The portion are pretty large and the prices are super fair. Get a togo box and have the reach for a late dinner.
The restaurant is fairly large and plenty of seating. You can see the staff working very hard to get the orders out on time, in fact they smile when your number is called up. Love there food.

Been coming here for years to take home a quick, delicious, and affordable meal. Love their family menu of chicken teriyaki, Chinese chicken salad, and rice. There are a couple locations but this specific one has a special place in my heart. Perhaps because it was the first one I went to or because it’s in G town (Gardena). Either way it’s my favorite one.
The location itself is pretty chill. There’s plenty of parking in the plaza it resides in and once you enter you’ll see a very spacious location. For some reason the ceiling even feels higher than other places.
The food itself is the best. It’s so good that I’ll even order a chicken salad (yep, i said it). I get the plate with both beef and chicken and switch white rice out for brown rice. The portions are very hefty and could be shared if you wanted. I really enjoy the chicken salad, it’s probably why they are so popular.
The staff was very friendly and professional. My order was taken quickly and politely. The food was out rather fast too.
Overall, you should visit this location.

Love love love everything about this place! But I was so disappointed in my salad I bought yesterday! You guys need to add dates or something with your salads, my lettuce was very concerning and the cucumbers were all slimy.. this is so dangerous for pregnant women! Listeria is literally life or death for us! Please redeem yourself! We love you too much!

Highly recommend, very clean, a lot of cops come to eat here, which is a good sign because all food is served fresh and really good prices.
