I came into Rasa today and I ordered Fried Rice and some Naan. The Naan was great and very tasty but unfortunately there was a hair in it.
The Fried rice was just okay… I didn’t really enjoy it but I didn’t dislike it either.
My girlfriend liked the food she got though so your mileage may vary.

The menu is extensive and the prices and quality are great. We normally get take-out and everything is well packed and the dishes retains their heat. Rasa is a real gem.

We had a fantastic time at Rasa Restaurant. The server Puma was present and courteous. We had the biggest serving of Mango and blueberry lassi. The complimentary chutney sauce was tasty.
We had the samosas, spring rolls, lamb Rojan and Tikka Masala. Every item was delicious and the portion was extremely generous. We couldn’t finish and had to take to go.
The environment was extremely quiet and relaxing. Would recommend 10/10.

I deleted my review of 5 stars from a few years ago to give a fresh 5 star review! Incredible.
Myself and a coworker went for lunch today, it was pretty busy and there was one waiter. He never got behind, and kept up with every table without any issue. I was impressed by this alone, and happily left a 30%+ tip.
We ordered Chili Paneer for a starter. Great texture, great presentation, and super flavorful. Worth it!
I ordered beef Tikka masala at medium heat, my coworker Goat Kadai at a hot spice level. We had a large bowl of basmati to split, and also ordered garlic naan.
INCREDIBLE! Just wow, so savory! Rasa has never disappointed, and since the rebranding/reopening, I think somehow it has improved. Didn’t think that was possible, as it was always good!
I cannot recommend this place enough! So many choices on the menu, all kinds of meat and lots of veggie dishes. If you wonder if you should come here, you should!!!

Best Indian restaurant in chapel hill/carrboro. You may doubt that statement – but as other reviewers have said, their food quality has drastically improved. Their momos (plus yummy sauce!) , lamb korma, Saigon street noodles, mango chicken curry, samosas (and their mint sauce is so good!), papadams, and garlic naan are all exceptional. If I had tried anything else I’m sure it would be in that list of must haves as well. Our server is the same gentleman every time and he’s very sweet and polite! He is the only foh staff that I have seen – and he handles everything very smoothly. Keep in mind they get a lot of takeout orders, so you have to wait an appropriate amount of time. But someone is cooking your food! I would argue it should take time, and it’s super worth the wait. Plus if you get appetizers and order papadams when you sit down it will keep you happy :).

The best biryani ever!!! Lots of protein & flavors were phenomenal. The lunch combo was everything I needed. Decent prices but it was more than enough for my belly. Service was above & beyond. Definitely coming back with all of my family members next time.

Delicious! We enjoyed everything we tasted and brought home leftovers. A very extensive menu. Their flavors are on point and it was the first time I had mango curry – so fresh that you could taste each ingredient. We also enjoyed the bread service and ability to customize it. The atmosphere is pretty simple and casual, not exciting but for takeout or a casual evening out – it’s a winner. Happy we came!

I highly recommend Rasa to anyone looking for authentic Indian food. Many options and great service! I’ve never had Indian food as much as I have after going to Rasa for the first time. Always coming back for the meat samosas and butter chicken! I’ve tried so many items on the menu and they are all delicious. Seafood ramen is an honorable mention!

The customer service was outstanding, and the foods were exactly what we were looking for! We were so pleased with the service received from this restaurant. They went above and beyond to help me choose the best dish even though all of them were delicious and phenomenal. I was also very impressed with the cleanliness, friendly cozy environment the restaurant provided. It’s not only Indian food but also offer variety of other options such as Japanese ramen. The prices are affordable you guys won’t be disappointed in trying. Super recommended!
