Reviews
Even though it was the end of the night and the team was busy cleaning, the woman behind the counter was incredibly welcoming and provided excellent service and great portions. Everything—from the Lamb Kebabs to the Tandoori Paneer—was hot and flavorful.
It’s clear this location cares about quality and customer service, even at closing time. For the price and the freshness, this is easily one of the best TGTG spots in Rockville. I’ll definitely be back!
The spicy chili bowl was terrible. The so-called spicy sauce tasted more like Indian pickle, giving the bowl a very unpleasant pickle chicken flavor. The spice level was ridiculous—and I say this as someone who is Indian and used to spicy food. The menu should clearly warn customers about how extreme the heat is.
Portion size was another issue. The rice quantity was insufficient, and even after adding all the toppings, the overall bowl felt very small and not filling for $15 price tag. Because of this, I ended up going next door to Cava, where I got a much more decent and satisfying bowl.
On a positive note, the store vibe and colors were terrific—the ambience was great.
I truly want this concept to succeed, but if Rasa wants to grow, they really need to:
• Balance flavor better (especially spice)
• Be more generous with portions and toppings
• Set clearer expectations on the menu
Overall, a 2-star experience due to food quality and portion size, despite a great-looking store.
I liked how customizable the bowls are, and the portions were filling. The spices had good flavor without being too much. For a first takeout order, it was a solid experience and I’d definitely order again.
