I picked up a ‘Magic Bag’ through Too Good To Go today and had a fantastic experience. Unlike other spots that have pre-packed bags sitting around, the staff here built my bowl fresh right when I arrived.
Even though it was the end of the night and the team was busy cleaning, the woman behind the counter was incredibly welcoming and provided excellent service and great portions. Everything—from the Lamb Kebabs to the Tandoori Paneer—was hot and flavorful.
It’s clear this location cares about quality and customer service, even at closing time. For the price and the freshness, this is easily one of the best TGTG spots in Rockville. I’ll definitely be back!

Really delicious fast casual Indian fare. I spent slightly more than I usually do on a fast casual lunch, but only because I couldn’t resist the delicious-looking samosas at the counter. Those and a Cauliflower Quinoa bowl were more than filling for lunch. Very yummy! I was there on the late side for lunch, and it was a quiet and lovely atmosphere, with pleasant music The only reason for the 4 stars on service is that it felt like the guy at the counter was surprised to see me at that time of day.

I really wanted to like Rasa and support this concept, but unfortunately my experience at the Rockville location was disappointing.

The spicy chili bowl was terrible. The so-called spicy sauce tasted more like Indian pickle, giving the bowl a very unpleasant pickle chicken flavor. The spice level was ridiculous—and I say this as someone who is Indian and used to spicy food. The menu should clearly warn customers about how extreme the heat is.

Portion size was another issue. The rice quantity was insufficient, and even after adding all the toppings, the overall bowl felt very small and not filling for $15 price tag. Because of this, I ended up going next door to Cava, where I got a much more decent and satisfying bowl.

On a positive note, the store vibe and colors were terrific—the ambience was great.

I truly want this concept to succeed, but if Rasa wants to grow, they really need to:
• Balance flavor better (especially spice)
• Be more generous with portions and toppings
• Set clearer expectations on the menu

Overall, a 2-star experience due to food quality and portion size, despite a great-looking store.

Why is this place always empty !? FOOD IS BOMB. Always has been since they opened. And that mango lassi is 10/10. I get something different every time and it never disappoints. PLEASE even if you “don’t like” Indian food …. Give it a try.

The service and atmosphere at Rasa were great! The decorations in this place is gorgeous and the staff member are very friendly and patient with me as a first-time customer. She took the time to explain the menu and even let me sample some of the dishes before I made my final decision on what to add to my bowl!!

I’ve always been a regular at this shopping center, but this time, I decided to venture into RASA. The enticing aroma of their products immediately drew me in. The service was impeccable—it was my first time there, and Eli incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. And let’s not forget the Swirl soft serve—it was simply amazing!

This was my first time trying RASA and I ordered takeout. Everything was packed well and still hot when I got home. The food was flavorful, fresh, and didn’t feel heavy or greasy.
I liked how customizable the bowls are, and the portions were filling. The spices had good flavor without being too much. For a first takeout order, it was a solid experience and I’d definitely order again.

Food was amazing. I ate too fast and didn’t get good pictures for a fast food place, i love the details from to the chutneys, mango lassi, papadum and more. Place is cute! Wish they had a location closer to us.

First time trying Rasa and I was not disappointed. My naan wasn’t quite ready so I started to eat my take out inside the restaurant. The ambiance was relaxing and the taste and portions of the food went above expectations. My naan arrived and I ended up dining in to fully enjoy the Rasa experience. I will be returning.
