You must go here for happy hour. Highly recommend the beef skewers, shrimp cocktail, and burger. Skip the artichokes, which are almost inedible. I enjoyed the take on the tuna tartare tower with no chip. All the cuts of meat are phenominal. Cocktails are perfect each time.
First come, first serve at the bar, so plan to come as easy as you can to snag a seat at the bar, which fills up quickly. Really enjoy my experience here each time. Cheers!

I had an excellent birthday dinner here. David M took excellent care of us, answered my very picky palate questions, and had a phenomenal personality for his job. Job. We enjoyed a couple appetizers, the associate board, and dessert. Dessert. I have to laugh because we were in for my birthday and he offered a birthday scoop of ice cream or sorbet. The caramel apple sorbet was absolutely incredible. It tastes like your very most favorite homemade caramel apple sauce blended up and frozen. We did get a good laugh when we received our bill and he accidentally charged us for it, but we didn’t say anything because the rest of the experience was wonderful.

Perfectly cooked and rested NY steak with an amazing service by Nicki. Sides, parker house was good and potatoes and the ravioli was solid. Ambiance, hospitality and the food was 5/5. But as a chef standpoint, I would only consider putting the steak tartar more at the same level as steaks. Mac and cheese is okey but I would love to see some more maybe with the tartare.Their version of old fashioned might have been the smoothiest old fashioned I had, cheers to that! Overall, the best steak experience in the SD. Salute to the all team and their effort.

We went for a happy hour.
Not knowing if you come during happy hour and would like to partake in the happy hour menu. You have to sit in the bar area where it is pretty cold ❄️. Watching people play find a seat that’s WARMER, was at least entertaining while I was cold. But, the strangest thing and maybe I’m wrong. I ordered a “happy HOUR” old FASHION, as I was watching the bartender make it. I noticed he put in small ice cubes instead of a big single cube. I inquired why and he said the happy hour old fashioned doesn’t include the big ice cube. I would have to pay $2.50 more to have the big ice cube. So I said yes, please remake my drink so it doesn’t dilute my drink. I’m watching them remake the drink they pour everything into a Shaker and dump a bunch of ice cubes into the Shaker and then stir which massively dilutes the drink before it gets into the drink glass. I was baffled. As you can guess the drink was watered down before it made it into the glass with my $2.50 big ice cube. I paid for it. I didn’t figure there was any point having him remake it a third time. I tried to drink it but it was so watered down.
We ordered food from the happy hour menu, five different things. The lettuce wedge was drenched in dressing, the hamburger was well presented but, just sort of OK. Ahi tartare was just okay as well. The skewers were very small and okay.
The meatballs unique tasting I’ll give them a thumbs up.
Overall it was a pretty disappointing experience. On the expensive side for a happy hour menu.
As well as there is a glass of wine on our bill that we didn’t HAVE. They quickly fixed the bill after we pointing it out
Overall just a very lackluster experience for a place that has such high reviews.

Steak was…fine, but not great. Had the 35 day dry aged ribeye. Slightly overcooked and tough. They way undersalted the entire table’s steaks, and we all fought over the salt shaker. I wouldn’t come back for steak. However…
Highlights were the appetizers and sides. Some of the best I’ve ever had. Fried chicken was phenomenal as well. Very impressed there. Steaks, not so much.
Service was also fine. Not great, but not bad.

Rare Society is amazing! It is a special place for dinner. It is pricey, but the price reflects its quality. We had a family dinner, six of us. We started with the rolls and bacon, two orders of each for the six of us. We ordered The Associate meat board to share and fried chicken. We added au gratin potatoes, pickled onion rings, and broccolini as our sides. We finished with butter cake with sour cream ice cream and bananas foster cheesecake. We shared everything and absolutely loved every item!
I would highly recommend Rare Society for a fun and special dinner. Make reservations. Enjoy!

An excellent meal from start to finish. The artichoke starter was well seasoned. The drinks were good highlighted by the old fashioned. The associate board was a great way to try several different cuts, and the sauces were a nice addition. Topped off with the bananas foster cheesecake which was our favorite. The service was attentive and friendly. A meal we’ll talk about for some time.

Great atmosphere, great location. More importantly a solid menu of food. We had the executive and were not disappointed. It’s a lot for 2 ppl so be prepared to take home leftovers, which are amazing the following day! Great staff to make your visit enjoyable.

We went to Rare Society a few months ago to celebrate our anniversary. Staff was very helpful and friendly. From the hosts to the bartenders who eventually took care of us , everyone was great. We were seated on the patio area but asked to be moved since the banquet seats had no back support and we’re very uncomfortable of you leaned back. The only spots they has available were at the bar. Bartenders were attentive and helped with recommendations. I ordered a scotch cocktail and a gin and tonic, both were great. We had the Mac and cheese which was awesome, crab cake was solid, sautéed mushrooms was good but we couldn’t finish it. Fillet was superb and the butter we ordered was fantastic.
