I visited with friends, to hear a local musical act. We enjoyed an awesome meal, the music was great, & we had a wonderful evening! Our server, Kendra, was absolutely fantastic! She was right on top of our orders, refills, checking in to make sure we were good without hovering, & all with a big smile & a really great personality! All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable experience & we’re looking forward to visiting again!

Best trivia in Richmond! We do trivia all over town and honestly love Rare Olde Times’ pop culture trivia the most – it’s super fun, interactive, and fast paced. The host does an excellent job, and the food is delicious as well!

Music was good. The food was not! Corned beef was rubbery, cabbage was not cooked enough. Fish on the cod sandwich was smaller than a chicken tender. Fries were the best thing we had.

For Thanksgiving I tried their “Take and bake “ dinner. I ordered food for four people. Food was perfect and delicious! Turkey breast was very tasty and moist. All sides were delicious.
Definitely do it again!!!
The kitchen staff and Mel made it seamless to set up .

This is one of my favorite places to get a pint and relax with my husband. The bartender is always very attentive, and friendly. They have some of the best fish and chips in town. All around great experience every time.

My wife & I ordered corned beef & cabbage dinner. There was plenty of both on the plate, but I have never had a tougher piece of corned beef in my 77 years. Tasted like I was chewing on a piece of Jerky not corned beef.

Great food. Ate i. House and I requested two desserts for takeout and requested 2 scoops of ice cream for each, and Waitress appeared friendly. Didn’t think of looking at the makeup. Return home and o lt two tiny plastic ramekins of ice cream. What a disappointment. Thinking that im going to impress my roommate with warm dessert with a wallop of ice cream for each of us. I felt made a fool of. after giving a hefty tip of what I felt was a nice evening meal.

I’d rate it 4+. Food was tasty and servers were pleasant and efficient. Warm and friendly atmosphere and a great band (Taters). I had the Shepherd’s Pie, which was very good. Others had burgers and salmon with very positive results.

I came in for brunch this morning and ordered the full Irish breakfast with no mushrooms. The server thoughtfully asked if I’d like extra tomatoes instead, and I said yes. When my order arrived, I cut into the white pudding only to find they were ice cold in the middle. The server apologized and promptly brought me fresh ones that were heated through.

However, I noticed I only received two slices of tomato, so I’m not sure where the “extra” went. Also, they were out of rashers and didn’t have any wheat bread, which might be related to the recent water crisis.

Overall, the meal wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t anything remarkable either. I’m considering returning to try their non-brunch menu to see if it’s better. For now, a mixed experience.

Rare Olde Times has rearranged the tables to ensure all customers feel save dining in. During the time we were there, they had turned down many walked in customers, I am thankful for their efforts and felt sad for them for losing business opportunities. Please remember to make a reservation first. Food and service were great as usual.
