Excellent ramen spot in Kentlands to check out. Came back multiple times to try their menu and they were delicious each time. We enjoy their tonkotsu and shoyu ramen. The onigiri are great appetizers for sharing as well.

It’s November and I have been looking for a cozy warm Japanese food and I am so happy I have finally found one in the area! Their Umeboshi Onigiri is very delicious! I also got Katsu curry with chicken, it’s a tv dinner style which is very adorable. For dessert, I got the RanKen Mango-pomelo-sago and OMG the hidden flavors are just so amazing!
I needed something comfy (tough day) and they delivered above and beyond. Will try more hidden gems in the future!

I came with high expectations to see if the ramen here was really as authentic as many have said it was. I am by no means a ramen expert but the soup bases and broths that they simmer here are absolutely amazing. They have the perfect level of richness that it doesn’t feel overwhelming or oily but also is savory enough for the noodles to absorb and have flavor.
Their chilli oil is pretty spicy and I would recommend getting them on the side so you can choose how much to put in. I don’t think the dine-in experience is worth it since they don’t have a large staffing and they are not very attentive. However, the takeout experience is great because the container is leak-proof and the toppings are plated beautifully while being separated from the broth. There isn’t anything special about the noodles themselves since they are average in texture and volume, but their cha shu is not the traditional thinly sliced kind. Instead, it’s a more lean cut of meat and comes in thicker chunks but it has just as much flavor though it is slightly more tough. A few minor complaints would be that they didn’t give many vegetable toppings and they didn’t add enough soup to the bowls so I ran out of soup before I finished my noodles.

This is a favorite dinner destination for my family and I when we are in the Kentlands, the food is consistently delicious and the staff is always nothing but kind. The atmosphere is cozy and clean, and I love the level of variety and customization available when you order. The hand made drinks are also good (and always worth the slightly longer wait on busier nights) and I genuinely have no complaints. Authentic, flavorful, and always a lovely time.

The food was really good and the atmosphere was very cozy! Li, the owner, was incredibly nice and welcoming! The soups and tea were perfectly hot for this cold, rainy day, and service was so fast! We will definitely be back again!

First of all, I love the to go packaging. Everything was fresh and cute. I wanted to post pictures so people can see what the to go set up looks like
The gyoza was good. The ramen also tasted good. They suggest getting the chili oil on the side for the super spicy ramen. Very good call as only one spoonful of the chili oil was plenty spicy for me (and my partner and I were able to split one side of oil).

Love this place, the beef curry udon is addictive, and the mango pomelo sago is to die for. Staff has always been friendly. Price isn’t bad, so it’s very tempting to stop by here every week.

While the restaurant and staff were very pleasant, I found the ramen disappointing. I ordered the tonkotsu, as recommended by the waitress, but it did not meet my expectations. The chashu was dry and appeared burnt. The noodles, which I suspect were from a package, were unappetizing, and I left them uneaten. Even if they were fresh, they did not suit my taste. The broth was acceptable but rather lackluster. However, I did enjoy the egg, which was well-prepared. Unfortunately, I would not return for this ramen.

Overall a very pleasant dining experience. No complaints with food, very authentic Japanese dishes, taste good as I expected. It was hot so I ordered two different cold noodle dishes. One is udon and another is soba. The udon is more flavorful. The tempura is so so, the coating wasn’t the best as it is a little too hard. But overall it is pleasant. There is an outdoor seating area that is shaded at lunch time, which is super nice. Perfect for dining with a dog.
