P.s. …e poi facciamo un cannolo buonissimo!!!

Excellent food, service and vibes. The food was outstanding – highly recommend the octopus (perfectly tender and crispy on outside) and braised beef cheek (tender and flavourful). Even the olive oil with bread was delicious. Seating available inside and outside.

Towards the end of a 4 week trip from Australia and we have eaten so much good food. However this restaurant is hands down the best food we have had. Great wines and fantastic service. Great for kids and families.

This was an exceptional meal, everything from the crusty bread to the first course pasta of the day, delightfully fresh seafood in a light, delicious sauce; to the perfectly grilled octopus, tender and smoky m; to the traditional tiramisu – just exceptional. It’s a cut above some of the more touristy restaurants, and the family who owns and operates are super friendly. We highly recommend this dining experience in Ortigia.

On our last night in Syracuse we decided to eat at this lovely restaurant.
We went for an all tuna diner.
The cured tuna cheek as a starter was great and my favorite. I would certainly recommend.
The wine that was recommended was very nice. One of my favorites this holiday.
The staff were all nice and welcoming, especially the male waiter (15-08).
We sat on the terrace and is has a nice atmosphere.
Thank you!

Everything was extraordinary! We ordered the grilled octopus and three different seafood pasta dishes, and each one was absolutely impressive. The octopus was perfectly tender with a beautiful char, and all three pastas showcased fresh, high-quality seafood. Not a single dish disappointed – the flavors were outstanding and the execution was flawless. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for exceptional seafood cuisine.

We had an absolutely wonderful dinner at Ranieri and truly believe it’s one of the best—if not the best—restaurants in Ortigia. The quality of the food was outstanding, far surpassing other places in the area, yet the prices were very similar.
We ordered fish-based pasta, mains, and desserts, and everything was simply incredible. As an Italian from Naples, I’m used to high culinary standards, and I can honestly say this was one of my favorite dining experiences. The flavors were refined yet authentic, and every dish was prepared with real care and skill.
There’s no doubt that if we return to Ortigia, we’ll be reserving a table here again. Highly recommended!

Delicious food, great service and wonderful atmosphere. Our best meal in Ortigia by far. They had gluten free bread, were able to make the Calamarata pasta gluten free / senza glutine and we had the Beef Cheek and Octopus mains which were both GF. My partner had the special ravioli to start and tiramisu for desert and said both were fantastic.

Couldn’t make a reservation, but were lucky to get a table outside. Service was really good.
We went for the cured tuna, tuna tartare with peach (appetizer of the day), and both took bluefin tuna in breadcrumbs as our main course.
The lady helped us to pick a bottle of wine, which was exactly the kind we were looking for.
We had a lovely evening and would definitely come back.

Found this place close to where we were staying and it is just brilliant! Unassuming but fantastic food and really friendly and efficient service. We did not reserve and therefore started by sitting outside but were really cold. They were kind to find a spot inside which made all the difference. I recommend particularly the arancino with couscous – really delicious! I had the swordfish roll which was great and my husband the beef loin and caponata Siracusa style – which melted in the mouth. So 5 for the total experience. Great place and good value.

Well, well, well What an utterly sublime and transcendent culinary journey I recently embarked upon at Ranieri Cucina Chiacchiere e Vino on the enchanting island of Ortigia! After a protracted and arduous day, scorched by the incandescent Sicilian sun, and a few convivial libations that lubricated our spirits, we finally gravitated towards this gastronomic sanctuary. And oh, what an epicurean revelation it proved to be!
To call it mere “dining” would be a gross understatement; this was an apotheosis of flavor, a panacea for the weary soul, a true cornucopia of delights that titillated every single one of my receptive senses. Each exquisite morsel that graced my palate was a testament to culinary virtuosity, a symphony of textures and aromas that reverberated with unadulterated joy. From the prelude of appetizers to the crescendo of the main courses, and the harmonious denouement of dessert, every dish was an unmitigated triumph, a veritable feast for the gods. Ranieri is not just a restaurant; it’s an unforgettable odyssey into the very heart of Sicilian culinary perfection.
P.s. the cat appeared to liked it too!
