The weekend after Thanksgiving we made the trip over to spread my dad’s ashes in his chosen places of the valley. Ending up at the Range Rider twice in two nights I had the Steak Bites and the Coconut Chicken. I have craved the Coconut Chicken ever since! How do you justify the 6 hour drive for a dinner!? I might figure it out here soon.

Was traveling through town was recommended to try it , it was there preference in town. Stood at the entry way for someone to acknowledge me, I even opened the door twice for people that worked there to serve other people outside still, no one ask if they can help me. Grabbed the menu myself at the bar was told when you’re ready to order come back here. It’s already been probably 15 minutes. I went outside. Decided what I wanted. Went back and waited another 10 minutes without any acknowledgment I work in the service industry and this is not how you treat your customers if you want to have customers at least out of town customers . The locals knew what to do and seemed to be doing fine eating, drinking and enjoying themselves.

Cool western themed restaurant. The server was awesome, good sized menu with variety, plenty of seating, a well stocked bar, pool table and a shuffleboard table too. I had the bacon cheeseburger and fries and it was really good.

Ordred fish and chips but was disappointed big time! Tasted great but really really small .Fish was 5 pieces Sorrnot 6 as advertised and each piece was only about1/2 ” of fish mostly breading. Works out to about $3.00 for a 1/2 inch piece of breaded fish. What’s up with that? Sorry but I was hoping for a new place to eat.

We had a really nice stopover here. The waitress was very personable despite being super busy with several groups that arrived all at once. Most of us had the chicken strips. They were so tender and delicious. The sidewinder fries were a huge hit. I would totally come back here again.

This has quickly become our “go to” spot in wallowa county. The food is hand made and delicious, the soups are outstanding too! The cocktail specials are amazing and created daily by the bar tender. We have always had great service and excellent food!

I got the range burger which is the burger with jalapeño and onion rings. I asked for the burger medium well and it came more on the medium rare side. The blood soaked my bottom bun causing it to be too soggy for me to eat. Side winders were the side and I enjoyed them.
The person who brought my food to me I presume was the cook and they appeared to have some sort of eye infection which was pretty off putting and something that really stayed in my head throughout the meal.

Stopped by for lunch, first time visiting. Super friendly service, delicious burgers, a menu with good vegetarian options too. Great selection of craft beers, western ambiance. Will be back for sure!
