Easily the best ribs I’ve ever had. Fall off the bone tenderness and nice Smokey flavor. And idk what sauce they use but it’s perfect. The vibe here is really cool too. Hole in the wall vibe. Be warned though it’s cash only and to go orders only. I will absolutely be back 10/10

It is a truth universally acknowledged in the gastronomical world that it’s the quaint, unassuming “hole in the wall” eateries with a long line of patrons out front that usually have some of the best food that you will ever put in your mouth.
Randy’s BBQ is certainly no exception!
Located in a humble blue and white building on Wheaton St., there are no tables or seating and more often than not, a line stretching down the sidewalk.
You walk up, someone will lean out of the door and ask you your order, then you walk up to the window, pay and pick up your food to go.
It’s worth noting that Randy’s is a cash-only establishment but they do have an ATM on-site.
I decided to go small and ordered a $5 rib plate (yes, they actually have $5 rib plates!) to get a glimpse of what the fuss is about. My order was loaded with 4 meaty and tender smoked ribs and two thick slices of bread.
The orange barbecue sauce was divine, with a slight undertone of mustard perhaps. It was different but after a bite or two, I was hooked! The ribs were smoky, saucy perfection.
They do not have a large selection of foods to choose from: just chicken, ribs and crab but it is another truth acknowledged that if you’re only going to serve 2 or 3 items on your menu, then you’d better cook them right… and Randy’s cooks them right!
If visiting, be sure to get there early as they often sell out and close down before mid-afternoon.
Randy’s also offers chicken, crab, and cake and make no mistake, I will be back soon to try everything else they have to offer!

This place has reallllyyy good ribs, and its a good deal too! I got a “Slab” of ribs for $25, and its going to take me three meals to finish this hahaha. Meat is very tender
Might be the best ribs I’ve ever bought
Line is kinda long (took me 15-20 min wait) but whatever.
Try this place

Listen, Randy’s Bar-B-Q , has been a staple in our community for years, as of 1/8/2026, at this location 16 years, he orginally started on Bull street and 42nd ! Very affordable prices, $5 chicken plates , (sm $8),(med $10), large ribs ! Always a long line, but moves quickly! And the $5 chicken be the 1st to run out , so get there early! Opens at 10:30 am until food runs out !

I sure don’t know why all of the good ratings? These were simply the worst ribs I have ever had, and I teach bbq! There is no low and slow here! They are cooked directly over charcoal, thus a strange ‘off taste’ to them and no rub, no smoke bark, and no mop sauce! I can’t believe people line up for these?

Been visiting Savannah for years and finally got the chance to try this place. I highly recommend stop here. The chicken and ribs are fantastic the sauce is also very good but not needed and I am a big sauce person.

It’s off the beaten path and no frills about it (there are no sides sold), but it will be some of the best BBQ you’ve ever had. Oh those ribs! We got there early, jumped in line and ordered like we knew what we were doing. (Reminiscent of Pat’s in Philly or Katz’s in NYC you’ll quickly see who the locals are that know how to order ). The ribs alone (“sauce on the side” we found out is preferred) were so flavorful. We got a full rack and ate almost every one. Wish this place was closer to home.

We didn’t plan on eating at Randy’s, but we were driving by and saw the line of people standing outside, and thought, “that must be the best BBQ in Savannah!” It was definitely worth the wait. Nothing but ribs and chicken drumsticks on the menu, but it was delicious, and I love to support local businesses.
