As a Sri Lankan, I can confidently say this place is the real deal — 200% authentic and absolutely outstanding. From the moment you walk in, the aroma alone takes you straight back home. Knowing the chef is a renowned top chef makes perfect sense once you taste the food — every dish is crafted with incredible skill and authenticity.

The chicken curry is rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced — easily one of the best I’ve had outside Sri Lanka. The egg hoppers and plain hoppers are spot-on, with that perfect soft center and crispy edges. The vade and prawn (shrimp) vade are crispy, fresh, and packed with flavor. And the hot butter cuttlefish? An absolute must-try — spicy, savory, and unforgettable.

Don’t leave without trying the falooda — the perfect sweet finish to an amazing meal.

Beyond the food, the service is incredibly warm and friendly, making the whole experience even better. If you’re craving true Sri Lankan flavors in Staten Island, this spot is a five-star must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again when visiting the east coast!!

Egg rolls, beef curry, dull, & egg hoppers. The Srilanken flan was off the charts!

I’ve often heard how amazing this restaurant is from family & friends.
Soo happy I finally got to experience such great Sri Lankan food. We went for the Sunday Buffet and everything was delicious! Great flavors paired with the perfect balance of spicy (heat). Food was freshly made and replenished frequently. It was busy but the staff were able to remain friendly and attentive. Several vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices in the buffet.
If you’re in Staten Island you definitely stop by Randiwa, only wish they had more locations in New York.

The food is delicious; There is a good selection of Sri Lankan dishes. The Buffet is recommended. The customer service is great. Although they have a little car park, they packed the takeaway well.

The Sri Lankan cuisine is really good. The seafood fried rice and seafood devil are recommended. The atmosphere is really nice and they have good customer service. They specialize in the Sunday buffet where they have a huge spread of delicious food. I would recommend coming here and I would definitely come again!

This is a authentic Sri Lankan restaurant in Staten Island. Every dish they offer makes you feel you are in Sri Lanka.
The atmosphere in this restaurant does not give you a topical Staten Island restaurant but you feel like you are dining at a very decent restaurant.
You can take your business clients without any hesitation.
They also have a party place in the second place and a Sunday buffet.

If you like to try different food cultures or a Sri Lankan who want to try same taste as in back home this is the place

Honestly I felt It’s a little expensive for the ambiance and the restaurant had very simple low budget seating. But when it comes to the taste, it’s fatalistic. Trust me, if you love spicy South Asian cuisine, this is the place to be in New York city.
