Hubby and I had lunch on a sunday. He got fried chicken with fries and I got muffaletta with cajun slaw and a bloody mary. The food was all decent. Not bad but nothing to write home about. The bloody mary was yummy, huge and made from scratch. $15 bucks and worth it. Our waitress was friendly and efficient.

We walk in and immediately feel like family bc Amanda is always so welcoming! The food, the food, the food! Be it fried oysters, veal fettuccine, delicious salads, the best fried mushrooms, it’s all down home delectable, slap ya mama it’s so gosh darned good! Don’t get me started on the breakfast and burgers! Large portions, great prices, like eatin’ at your mom and thems. Quaint lovely ambiance. Go, eat, rejoice! And grab a King cake as you’re walking out of the door!

A wonderful place good family atmosphere. The food is excellent! Big portions and very reasonable. I have real good memories going in there for breakfast, lunches , and dinners with a good friend of mine that’s no longer here with us anymore.

Red beans and rice ($2 extra side substitution) are on point, and the Big Burger I split with my wife was juicy and cooked to order.
We had their meatball po boy too and the sauce had too much sage or rosemary (can’t tell) and it was off-putting to me but my wife loved it.
Turtle cheesecake dessert was the best part (remember, these folks make prize-winning king cakes).
Part of an L shaped strip mall so parking can vary A LOT. I found a spot right away in front of the restaurant.
Everything was priced pretty fair. I paid $40 for the two sandwiches, $2 side upgrade, and dessert. That’s similarly priced to other locations and at the look of their older menus it would have been a smoking deal only 5 years ago. I guess I look at it as it’s similar in price as other local places but I got a free slice of cheesecake.

I ordered combo plate of fried catfish and shrimp with fries. The catfish was the best I have eaten in a long time it was not fishy at all. The shrimp was fried just right not over cooked and the fries were my favorite type of fries not over cooked leaving you to taste the potato. Staff was friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend this place to my family and friends and to those that have never tried this place to go and eat. You won’t be disappointed.

Ok, we really wanted to love this place, so I’ll start off with the good. The servers were nice and friendly. The bread pudding was huge and delicious! The turtle cheesecake was also huge and delicious! Loved the baked mac & cheese. The Pasta Italiano was very good, and the sausage had a well-balanced flavor. The Lasagna was huge and tasted good. Not the best, but still good, like homemade. Now the bad. There was a 2″ piece of plastic in my lasagna that I pulled out of my mouth. Also, on the underside of one side of the lasagna, it was burnt to a crisp. I don’t mind burnt cheese, but it was mostly the pasta. As for the inside of the restaurant, the first table we sat at, which was against the wall, had ants crawling on the table and the condiment cubby. We killed about 5 and asked to be moved to another table. We noticed crumbs under the glass sheets on a few different tables, including ours. Hope they fix these issues.

Came here for the first time…on a whim
I didn’t really know what I was hungry for, so I thought to go with one of the specials of the day: stuffed bell pepper with shrimp. It also had mac-n-cheese and green beans as a side.
The mac-and-cheese was different, and I REALLY enjoyed it.
I guess I didn’t favor the entree, and it kinda made me disappointed that I couldn’t eat what I thought would have been spectacular.
Different taste buds, though.
It didn’t help that the rice was somewhat crunchy (uncooked), and one of the bell peppers was cold to taste.
The bread wasn’t too appetizing, either.
Our waitress was a Sweetie pie! She gets a 10/10 rating.
Unfortunately the food experience wasn’t the best for someone hungry.

Nothing I’ve eaten here has been great. The chicken fried steak was awful. The green beans were over seasoned& over cooked. Didn’t get my mashed potatoes. The shrimp and artichoke soup was ok. The tuna bites had a chance to be awesome, however they put some awful orange sauce on it that ruined it. I had to wash it off to eat it. It didn’t compliment the ginger sauce at all.

Ordered club sandwich and grilled chicken sandwich for lunch. Both were dry and the chicken was bland as all hell. No flavor what so ever.
Ordered sandwiches because we didn’t want anything heavy like pasta or spaghetti. They should just take sandwiches off their menu because they are not good.

The shrimp poboy was great and the fish nuggets were superb. They do seafood as good as anybody.
