I really enjoyed my visit. I have been trying to find a restaurant that could duplicate the pernil I experienced in nyc earlier this year. I wasn’t disappointed!

After begging the person on the phone twice to make it for our group she called me back at 11am to tell me that it will be done.

Granted I rushed their process but I was very happy of the outcome and highly recommend calling them ahead of time for a special request.

The Resturant was 40 miles away from home and we couldn’t get their sooner. It has a very warm and family feel to the restaurant. Our server didn’t speak hardly any English but that was ok because all of the woman there were beautiful I quickly learned Spanish from my google translator app. Lol

Had so much fun. I really felt like I was in the DR.

Great food, I personally ordered off of the “Combos Familiares” part of the menu specifically Combo number four. This was for me, my brother and dad. It was enough food for all of us! Food was hot, salad was VERY fresh. No complaints at all. The service was also very good even for someone who only speaks English. My girlfriend who was also there, loved the food and said it was authentic (she is from the Dominican Republic). She ordered Mofongo which was pictured. Overall, awesome place, I will be visiting again, just keep in mind that the music is Loud. Pictures include the Mofongo, Combo Four (“Fried” pork chops, rice, Tosotones, and beans)

The mofongo is pretty good. Not S.Fl but good considering RVA doesn’t have many options.

Authentic Dominican food. Great selection of dishes and real good on the price. Lunch special is only $6.50
Worth the drive every time. You can order ahead and pick up to go or enjoy your meal while staying in. The atmosphere is like family and the staff is very friendly and courteous. The portions are big so bring your appetite and save room for the flan that’s a custard dessert.
They also serve liquor and beer if you prefer to order an adult beverage with your meal. Go pay them a visit you will not be disappointed.

By far they have the best tamales in all of Virginia. If you want to eat like the natives, you’re in the right place. The atmosphere is friendly, warm and humble. It’s like you are in Guatemala. I went once, the next week I took all my family.

The food was good but they do hookah in the resturant so if you’re into that it’s cool, they also do karaoke on sundays, their karaoke is so loud you can’t hear the waitress, but again food was good. I would probably do carryout next time, sitting down isn’t desirable unless you have a smelly date and don’t want to listen to them talk at all the whole date.

This place has definitely changed its name and type of service they provide.. the name now is Águila Real the musics was so loud we couldn’t even talk at our table not family friendly. So we tried to order anyway but when asking the waitress about a what was in a specific plate her response was I don’t know… we ended up leaving. Won’t be coming back and will not be recommending anyone to this place

Was okay. Waitress was okay, not really friendly. I got the chicken, rice and beans. Was basic, better than fast food but lacked the strong Latin flavor I’m used to as a Latino.
