Tables and soft seated booths! Huge menu! Everything was perfect and so fresh!
They have a kids menu area for the kiddies.
Lunch portion was big for a lunch portion and had side garnishes..even guacamole.
Had lunch fajitas…Yummy! The plate was hot and the food was hot.
Next time I will order the dinner fajitas even though it’s 2 pm…We like the sizzle dinner with garnishes.
Salsa was very good!
They are on the same side of the road as CVS about a block before if you are coming from the 81
We eat our big meal early most days.

Well as someone that has been to Mexico over 40+ times (Including driving N to S & E to W across the country) I do not review many Mex spots. Due to most are Tex-Mex and not true to what is consumed & prepared daily across the border. Outside of the tourist traps anyway where you’ll find the same fluff. That being said. Service was Incredible, my lunch size serving of Fajitas ,Steak & Chicken was great with my rice & beans. I was disappointed that the enchiladas were basically a la carte no beans & rice, & seemed more pricey then a couple of the few spots I have given time to. It’s did taste very grilled and even came with some thin Guacamole sauce to put on top. ( This is not thick spread) What a nice surprise though. Another nice surprise was then Bean dip while I waited accompanied by the traditional salsa bowl everyone anticipates when going to restaurants like this. All and all if your around Colonial Heights area got about $15 and desire Mexican style food stop in for some complimentary Bean dip and a good plate of food, well Great attention and service. I spent 15.46 with a Drink..also liked the music it was good and just loud enough, and they had soccer on.

The place is absolutely immaculate in cleanliness. The service is fast, the food is good, and have larger portions for a great price. We went the day they opened and have continued to go back bi weekly ever since. Their quesabirria tacos, country burrito and traditional taco dinner are our favorites!

First time visiting. Food was good and plentiful. We had fajitas and steak tacos. The highlight was the salsa bar. Service was great, multiple staff asked if we need anything. They are waiting to get alcohol, will return once they do. Better then other Mexican restaurants in the area.

Very average new restaurant. Going to be tough to survive in a market saturated with Mexican spots. Got the grand opening week specials, Tacos, cheese dip, and ACP. Everything we got was pretty bland, I like flavor in my food and it was lacking here. The food seemed high quality and fresh and the service once we were at the table was good, but the food just isn’t great.
The atmosphere is as bland as the food…
Not a huge fan of the local LA Caretta but they win against Rancho Mar so far.
New spot so we will come back and try it again after they have been open a while and hopefully worked out the kinks.

I’m tired of La Carrera monopolizing mex restaurants in the tri-cities. Service was okay, food was good. I was very excited to see they had quesabirria on the menu, which many places do not have around here. It’s not the best I’ve ever had, but it was good. I loved the bean dip and salsa bar. Some improvements could be made, but regardless, I will be back!

Alexi was my server and was very personable, attentive, helpful and kind. The portions were a good size. The Chile rellano was delicious (and huge). I really appreciated that they removed the seeds and stem from the pepper.
