Me and my mother stopped by for lunch, we’ve been Craveing good Mexican food sense moving from Arizona and have been very let down up until now; we were seated with chips and salsa and the salsa was wonderful amazing texture and flavor. We ended up spelling the steak chimichanga, an oh my gosh, it was wonderful the beans and rice it was served with tasted fantastic, but the steak inside the chimi was TO DIE FOR. It was actually seasoned so well and tasted just like what we’ve had back in Arizona and the meat was so tender plus the white cheese sauce they top it with was soooo yummy. Really excited to go back and try more.

Rancho Grande Restaurant in Rugby North Dakota is the go-to place for Mexican food in the area. The portions are ample and the service prompt and efficient. The menu have all the dishes you would expect at a Mexican restaurant. The decor is homey. For those coming from out of town, the restaurant is easy to find, right on route 2 and sharing the parking lot with the geographic center of North America monument. The sign on the restaurant is faded beyond legibility but the elevated sign lets you know you’ve arrived

Complimentary hot chips and salsa, generous food portions, and great service.
If you happen to want to visit the geographical center of North America, then I also recommend trying this place too.

Rancho Grande in Rugby is a fantastic spot to check out! The fresh chips and salsa are a great start, but the highlight was definitely the pollo bandido, which was absolutely outstanding. The rice and beans were top-notch, and I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the tap water was. With excellent service, it made for a wonderful meal!

I absolutely love this place!!! Stopped years back.. stopped a few more times, then sadly they were closed quite a bit during covid. Saw they were open and had to stop. Some of the best Mexico food I’ve ever had!

If you happen to be near the geographical center of North America and in the mood for Mexican, you’re in luck. I had the #20 – enchilada, tamale, and chile relleno. It was the biggest tamale I think I’ve ever had and it tasted delicious. Also enjoyed the chips and salsa. The salsa was different from what I’m used to but it was very good.
