I have heard nothing but good things about Rancho Chico, and the race reviews were accurate. I walked in on a winter Saturday and it was packed. We took one of the last two tables. Staff was friendly and helpful. The food is amazing and the plates are huge! My tortillas were freshly made and some of the best I ever had. The price was reasonable for such quality and portions. I will be going back…soon!

Right in downtown Cody. I made the mistake of going on superbowl night and they were closing early. I was informed they would be closing in 15 minutes and asked if I wanted to order to go. As I waited for my order I was offered a beer until it was ready. The facility was nice and both employees I encountered where pleasant. The food was okay. A little cold and rushed, ofcourse. I can’t give a full review because of the circumstances and would like to visit again to be fair.

The food was good, the service wasn’t. The chips, salsa, and refried beans were great. The fajitas and the chicken salad were also very good, and the prices were reasonable. The only problem was that our server never came around to check if we needed anything. We are not needy people, but we had to ask other servers for water, napkins, and anything else we needed during our dinner. If they improve their service, this place would be great!

These are the best cheese enchiladas I’ve ever had in my whole entire life. I try cheese enchiladas everywhere I go, they are my favorite and very few people know how to make good enchiladas. This chef is absolutely amazing and should be rewarded for their hard work. I literally started crying eating these it tasted so good thank you

Great food!! The salsa could be a little chunkier. Margarita was great, and the fresh guacamole was delicious! We were glad to get right in with no wait, and our server was very friendly and attentive. Nice atmosphere too.

The server was funny, and offered to take a picture of our family. He added a small table to our area and the food was amazing. The plates were ginormous and the tables were cleaned every few minutes. When we placed our orders, they were out in just a few minutes. When we first came in the server was always asking what we needed, we had 3 full platters of chips. Definitely the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to!!!

By far the best experience I’ve had in a restaurant in Cody! The food was exceptional. I got steak fajitas and my wife got a steak bowl. Very generous helpings of steak in each and it was cooked perfectly. The service was first class. We had food and drinks 15 minutes after we sat down. Our drinks never ran out, and our waiter Martin even got the door for us on our way out with a smile and a handshake. The room and tables were clean and tidy. We will be back!

The service here is wonderful, everyone brings great vibes. The food is good too, I’m vegetarian and I always appreciate Mexican food that doesn’t sacrifice flavor for their meat-free dishes. The staff was super friendly even though I once came in not long before the kitchen closed, and very accommodating when I dined with a large group another time. ♡

The service was very friendly, and fast. The atmosphere is festive and bright. The food however, was subpar and lacked the bold spices flavors of peppers, tomatoes, and onions. The rice for example was mediocre. It was a little mushy, bland and tasted like it was out of a frozen aisle at best. The taco almost stale, not to mention the meat inside. While the presentation is appealing and the proportions very balanced, I would not eat Mexican food here. I get no pleasure out of unfavorable reviews, but this meal was not comparable to places I’ve eaten Mexican food by far.

Tried out the New Mexican spot in town. It was very good.
They start you off with bean dip and chips and salsa. We ordered the queso, but we didn’t really need it.
I ordered the grande combo, I believe and it was a chili relleno and a chimichanga. It came with rice and beans. The chili relleno was giant and very good. The chimichanga was just “ok”.
My wife ordered the chili relleno ala carte. It was giant. We ended up taking the equivalent (her left over and mine) to a full chili relleno.
The bill was not that expensive considering how costs have gone up to eat out. We saved a bit ordering the wife’s meal ala carte.
Marco was our server. He said he was the best waiter….he was. He was very attentive and the food came out super quick considering the restaurant was packed just after the horse auction across the street. Lots of large parties in here.
The noise level was a bit loud, but the acoustics of the building are probably to blame.
Overall, it was a good stop for dinner.
