First time. I’m vegan. Food was absolutely delish!
The black beans were so flavorful. Plantains were tasty and not greasy. Sautéed veggies cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned.
Service as expected for a casual spot. Prompt with drink refills etc. Def on my rotation moving forward.

We got lunch here, it was really good and inviting. We had a friend recommend us here and we had to try it. We didn’t see arepas or empanadas on the menu so it was pretty americanized. The Cuban coffee and Café Con Licor was on point the drink menu was pretty good so if you want something with a little buzz then I would recommend it especially with a full bar. The food is worth it if you are craving some Cuban flavor and a tease of authenticity.

Coming to this restaurant wasn’t planned, but we were pleasantly surprised with the food, service, and vibe. We made a last minute reservation (due to our original restaurant didn’t work out). Got there 20 mins early and got seated right away.

For the food, we ordered the whole fried tilapia, a fried grouper fillet, an iron beer (Cuban version of coke)— and everything came just about $40. That price in the downtown of Savannah is unbelievable. Huge portions too. Photo of Tilapia with husband’s hand for scale, the Grouper, and the aftermath 🙂

More importantly, the foods were actually really tasty. Fishes were seasoned well. Sweet plantains were a nice touch of sweetness to the savory fish. And the garlic bread they gave in house… chef’s kiss!

Plus, they got live music and friendly servers. We were there for 1.5 hours and witnessed 3 birthday celebrations by the servers and the band. Service can be a bit slow due to how packed it is, but just set your expectations especially for weekend nights.

This restaurant offers authentic food I highly recommend the pollo de sopa. Es muy rico! the mixo dishes recommended as well provided prime opportunity to try the full meat dish. I would have tried the slushies here but they must be good because one after another people were coming to get them highly recommend by you try this place

The food was great. The fish was fried to perfection and was seasoned perfectly. The pineapple rice with shrimp was sweet, savory and so delicious. This is one of my favorite go-to spots in Savannah.

Delicious food and drinks with a great atmosphere. Their chicken is flavorful and their tilapia is fried to perfection! I also love their house margaritas.

Excellent food! Very delicious and I feel that the price was very competitive considering the amount of food we were served! I went for lunch yesterday and we had one lunch plate each and left full and happy. Service was quick and very friendly, the beans were specially flavorful and the pork was too. I had a fantastic sandwich. I would go back anytime!

The food was great. It and the drinks were reasonably priced. The portions were not huge; they seemed just right to have a really satisfying meal with some leftovers to take home if you happened to fill up on the delicious bread they brought to the table as we perused the menu. The service was friendly.

To me is really important that when I give my review I’m honest. I love the ambience in this restaurant. I asked for chicken soup. The taste was good but it did not have enough chicken in it. It was all broth. Now, the dessert “guava pastellillo” was really delicious. And it was warm and melted. What I didn’t like was the waitress was somehow careless about our wants. Also I have this gentleman stopping in our table constantly and wanted to take out plates when we were not done eating. It was this unusual rush. I didn’t like that. Besides that the place is really nice.

The complimentary bread was absolutely delicious, garlic bread, to be specific, and it was full of flavor. The sandwich and fried calamari were also tasty, but the real star was the paella. The seasoning was perfect, and the umami flavor was just right.

It says on the menu that the paella takes about 40 minutes to prepare, but it actually came out a bit quicker than expected, and I was completely satisfied.

If you’re visiting Savannah, this place is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend!
