Although Ranch House BBQ & Steakhouse was awarded “Best BBQ of the South Sound” and “Best BBQ of Western Washington,” we also are known for our hand-cut steaks, chef’s specials and homemade desserts. Wow, wow, wow! I just want to preface this with the fact that I grew up in the Midwest and have not been able to find a decent BBQ place since moving here and this one is an absolute keeper!
We rolled in kind of late for dinner at most places after a long day on the road driving. We were turned away at the casino since they had no seating (super bowl sunday) and on a whim decided to venture about 20 minutes out of our way to this lovely establishment. Im glad to say some things are just worth it!
We arrived and were seated at the bar in the back of the restaurant as we enjoy bar seating. It was so perfect, like our own little dining experience. We had a few seasonal cocktails and our waiter (while very busy and short staffed since they were not expecting a huge later rush lol) checked on us often and made fabulous conversation. The whole night felt like we’re were great long time friends with the whole staff.
Now to the food review! Im from BBQ central so I know a good BBQ when I taste it lol this was just so perfect, brisket was smokey, delicious and melt in your mouth tender. And the sauces were an absolute compliment to it all. The wings were huge and so juicy with just the perfect buffalo spice. And then, not pictured, was the to-die-for peanut butter pie that we took to go and ended up eating half before we left the restaurant because it was too good to not try at least a bite….and another bite lol
We live another 2 hours away but this is absolutely going into our restaurant rotation, drive and all, because it really is that good. Not to mention, the laid back atmosphere really just tied it all together for a great night and dinner.

Oh boy this large meal was yummy!
Suggest adding the green bean casserole and pumpkin pie.
Huge loaded bag that needs support from bottom. Everything is cooked and dished in large containers that can be put in the oven, ready to reheat.
Service was awesome the turkey has a great smoked flavor deep into the meat and really juice.
Skin is left seasoned to crisp at home as desired.

We had lunch at Ranch House BBQ and ordered the pulled pork sandwich with baked beans, mac and cheese, and fries — and wow, absolutely the best BBQ around! We’ve been coming here for years and the food is always consistently amazing.
The pulled pork is flavorful and perfectly cooked, the baked beans are delicious, and the mac and cheese is rich and comforting. The fries are fresh-cut and taste homemade — you can really tell everything is made fresh.
The atmosphere is quiet and quaint with a cool vintage vibe that makes it even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for consistently great BBQ and a relaxed place to eat, this is it. Highly recommend!

This place definitely has a personality. Macaroni balls were a hit, wish that an order came with more than just 3. The honey packets were savored. This is okay bbq for Washington state, but a bit overpriced due to the side sizes, they definitely need to be larger to justify the price. Brisket is on the fattier side, but lean is my personal preference.

I’ve passed this restaurant countless times always wondering what the food would be like. Well today we decided to check it out and we weren’t disappointed one bit. First I was surprised by the astetics of the interior, the bright color and rustic decor made the atmosphere wonderful. Our server was pleasant and funny Being that it was my first time I decided to go with the platter to get a taste of everything. I loved it all with the exception of the potato salad, im not a fan of some of the chosen ingredients. All and all I highly recommended trying this place if you haven’t yet.

Praise be. Best bbq I’ve had all year, quite possibly in my life, period. Hot link was scrumptious. Perfectly cooked brisket. Delectable and refined Smokey flavors throughout everything. What amazing ‘white bbq’ sauce included with those onion rings too!! I will definitely be back, this has got to be one of the most memorable food experiences I’ve had as of late. Cooked w love. Stopped in after some off roading in Capital Forest. It’s a very short distance from the Rock Candy Trailhead and just off WA SR 8. Nice little road house kind of BBQ place with a bar in the back with beer and cocktails. Had brisket sandwich which was good, but maybe not the BEST I’ve ever had. With side of slaw and baked beans, all were good. Also had pork belly bites which were delicious if you like bacon. Raspberry Lemonade was very good. Staff was very friendly and service for our fairilarge group was very fast. I heard the chili was very good, but I’ll have to test that claim next time.
