I hadn’t been in here for a while, and it looked pretty much the same as my last visit. I’m a firm believer in if it ain’t broke dont fix it. The gyro was good, but the Greek fries stole the show. We got carryout, and the food came within about 15 minutes, which is good enough for me. The phone system was down, so we couldn’t call ahead (I heard another couple saying the same thing, and the woman behind the bar tried to get it fixed, instead of blowing us off. Nice). It was clean, and the bartender was very pleasent. I forgot how good their food is. I need to put them in my regular rotation, especially with all of the special nights they have. We’ll be going back.

We went for the first time 2 weeks ago. Had to come back for the Buffalo Wings! This time we got them & i believe it was honey garlic wings! Both so very good! Service was great! We will continue to go back! Thanks, Ranch House!

We sat in a booth right by the bar. We were totally ignored by the wait staff. We never even got a single refill on our soda. They advertise a 1/4lb burger, then bring out a smash burger. …there is no way that is 1/4lb. My husband ordered a chef salad. We knew something was wrong when he was told he could choose one meat from a list. The salad came with lettuce, MOZZARELLA CHEESE, a couple cherry tomatoes, pepperoncinis, the chicken he chose, and two tiny plastic cups of ranch. (Probably about three tablespoons total, for a huge salad… Additional dressing costs more). By definition that is not a “chef salad”, it should be called something like a “specialty salad” or “house special”, so people will know they are not getting a “chef salad”.
In the end the waitress didn’t even bring us our bill. I had to go stand at the bar and wait for her to go find it. …and it wasn’t busy.
We left hungry, thirsty, unhappy, and with a few less dollars in our pocket. …But now we know. We will never go back.

Ranch House is a dive bar with a down home comfort food kitchen.
Ranch house has been around easily 50+ years. I remember going there after a movie date in high school for a burger or as a special treat a week-end breakfast out. I wasn’t a foodie back then, but I can tell you now, I give them a thumbs up for what they are.
What are they? They’re a dive bar that hasn’t been redecorated since the last century. They’re a dive bar with friendly and attentive customer service, who welcomes everyone. While I sat at the bar, I was treated and given the same quality service as all the other guest they called by name. With the quality of food at reasonable prices, I am sure they’ll know my name eventually.
Now, let’s talk food. Two of my weaknesses are, Jalapeño Burgers and Fried Chicken and they have delivered well on both. A Fried Chicken Dinner is their Wednesday night special. I enjoyed a crispy half fried chicken with two sides.
I went county boy for my sides and choose, Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes with White Gravy. Whoa, the chicken was crispy and oh, so juicy. It is equally as good as Pat’s Bar and Grill in STL, which was a favorite of mine before moving. My two sides were also, equally as good. Real mashed potatoes, not instant and the green beans, were perfectly seasoned with onion and bacon. I’ve also enjoyed the fried chicken as a carry-out.
After experiencing their winner, winner chicken dinner and seeing a Jalapeño Burger on the menu, I had to come back. The burger was a smash burger done on a flat grill, topped with Pepper Jack cheese and smothered in plenty of jalapeños. If I could add jalapeños to everything I eat, I would. The toasted bun and crispy fries as a side, completed this meal. Oh, the local craft beer was a nice touch too.
Ranch House is close to my home. I actually could walk there and burn the calories I’d be consuming eating the delicious comfort food. I will definitely be adding them to my rotation of restaurants.

The Ranch House in Godfrey is a nice little place that has some really great food! I usually go on smash burger day or country fried chicken/steak day. The reason for the 4 stars is I usually drink unsweetened tea however the tea here is awful so I get a fountain soda instead and you have to pay extra for the lettuce and 1 pickle on your smash burger I could see paying extra for the cheese like everybody else but really lettuce! The portions are very generous if you order a meal w/ sides.

I was a customer there last week, and I ordered some food. Then I went up to the cashier, to pay for my order. And this is what happened to me. Im deaf due to Covid 19 in 2021, so I have a transcribe on my phone so I can communicate with others. I told the cashier this And her response was, “OH you you are one of those kind huh”. Then laughed! This is extremely hurtful and unprofessional! When you work with the public you should expect to serve all different walks of life and individuals with disabilities should be treated the same way you treat individuals without disabilities! You really should train your staff on how to be better humans and truly shame on her and your establishment for allowing this kind of behavior! When I spoke with a manager he completely disregarded what I said and stuck up for her poor behavior!
