I’ve been seeing this restaurant on my FB post, so we decided to give it a try. The website says its closed on Sunday s, but FB posted they were open. We tried 2 specials The bone in pork chop and chicken fried steak. The chicken fried steak was season well cooked perfect. No burnt taste, just all-around delicious. The sides were mashed potatoes and green beans. They kept it simple and delivered. The bone in pork chop, hmmm. Slightly dry, no seasoning relying on the sweet glaze, which tasted really good. Rolls lacked butter, which might have been an oversight. Overall,
food was delicious with home cooked taste. I’m definitely coming back to try the ribeye. The manager offered to re-cook pork chop, which I thought was really nice.

Went with a large group and we were waited on promptly. I ordered a plain burger and fries and only asked for the lettuce to be removed. It didn’t happen so I had to pick through my burger to get it off, I don’t send food back just for that. Pretty simple request. Fried mushroom appetizer (great portion size) was good, so was the desert. It appeared that others in our group seemed satisfied with their meals.

Best burger I’ve had in months. The bun was light and didn’t distract from the amazing flavor of the burger. We’ll definitely be back!

This new restaurant is an absolute gem! The food was delicious. The service was attentive and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. On top of that, the inside of the building is warm, and inviting. A perfect spot for both a casual meal or a special night out. Highly recommend! Oh, and Tina, she was awesome.

We are our wedding here and from start to finish the people running this place are amazing. They did everything we asked. They have decor you can use if needed. They have a sound system as well that will raise the roof. Its clean an very formal but casual at the same time. I have nothing bad to say about this place what so ever. It’s worth the price in my eyes. Just want to say this if your having your wedding here an your the bride whatever you tell Mary goes! She does whatever you say! Also the bartender is amazing he made us a drink which till this day I don’t remember what it was but they were so good!

We drove from Aubrey based on the photos shared on their website and Facebook. This is not going to be a good review so I will be taking a screenshot of this review and posting there. It’s not worth the drive, I wouldn’t even walk next door to this place. Four adults one had chicken fried steak that was pulled right out of the fryer and chucked on the plate, grease was great! Came with the packaged Thanksgiving roll dont get it confused with the Hawaiian rolls. Green beans were ok the mash potatoes were good, 2nd adult had a burger with costco fries (3.95) asked for lettuce and pickles, lettuce was left off, patty was dry and bland and 3rd/4th Adult split the catfish plate based off the photos online that showed 2/3 filets, green beans, fries and slaw. We got 1 small filet, 1/4 cup coleslaw (that im praying doesn’t make me ill) and they forgot the fries and NO greenbeans. That catfish musta shared the fryer with the fried steak as it was thrown right on the plate grease and all. Let that rest man! I shared with the waitress and she states yeah the catfish are bigger now so they give 1…what? No way the photos online show huge pieces. What I see is a struggling restaurant who are trying to figure things out and it must been getting expensive to keep the doors open. I see all the short cuts. I will say the Sweet tea was on point but dont ask for a together cup, its a plastic 10oz Dixie cup, no lids. We chuckled. You are baited thinking that this place is semi-upsale its NO scale. Poor Whitesboro was probably so excited to have a Ranch 82.

⭐ Ranch 82: Whitesboro’s Rising Culinary Star
When a small town welcomes a new menu, it’s often a cautious affair. But at Ranch 82, the dining room hums with the energy of a place that knows exactly what it wants to be: bold, hearty, and just playful enough to surprise you.
Starters with Potential
Chef Mikey himself emerged from the kitchen bearing two appetizers still in the testing phase—fried mushrooms and jalapeño mac & cheese bites. The mushrooms arrived with a generous batter that slightly overshadowed their modest centers, but the jalapeño mac & cheese bites? A revelation. Golden-fried, they pulled apart with just enough cheese stretch to make you grin. A subtle kiss of spice gave them character without scaring off the timid. Dunk them in Ranch 82’s ranch dressing (a house specialty that earns its namesake with creamy tang), and you’ll wish they were already on the permanent menu.
The Meal That Speaks for Itself
Meatloaf Sliders with Onion Rings: This is where Ranch 82 shines. Handmade meatloaf, tender and flavorful, perched on buns with a sweet jelly topping and bread-and-butter pickles. It’s comfort food elevated. The onion rings arrived in flawless golden armor, their crunch begging to be dipped in that signature ranch.
Steak Fingers with Mashed Potatoes & Gravy: A true showstopper. Hand-beaten, hand-breaded, and melt-in-your-mouth good. The beef-to-breading ratio is perfection, while the scratch-made mashed potatoes and gravy whisper “home cooking” in the best way possible.
Chicken Fingers with Fries: Straightforward but satisfying. Though not hand-breaded like the steak fingers, they’re fresh, flavorful, and paired with a lineup of dipping sauces. The fries—crisp, golden, addictive—were everything fries ought to be.
Sweet Finish
Dessert is unapologetically indulgent. The upside-down pineapple cake, served warm and gooey in a hefty mug, dares you to dig deep for its caramelized treasures. It’s rustic, fun, and worth saving room for.
The Vibe
Pair it all with a glass of white wine, an ice-cold Miller Lite, or even a humble Dr Pepper, and you’ve got yourself a Whitesboro night to remember. Ranch 82 doesn’t pretend to be fancy—it doesn’t have to. It’s a place where the details matter: the scratch cooking, the hospitality, the humor in a ranch named “Ranch” serving ranch this good.
Final Verdict
Tender Smokehouse and Robby’s may want to take note: Ranch 82 has arrived, and it’s serving food with both soul and swagger. This isn’t just another stop on the local dining map—it’s a destination.
