An eclecticly decorated restaurant with fantastic food. There was music outside and looked like fans that misted. We sat inside in the air conditioning. We went for brunch after trying another place that had a ridiculous wait time. This place got us right in! We all enjoyed our meals. The only thing I noticed was that I was really wanting a breakfast type option and the only thing I considered to fall in that category was the French toast. However, it was delicious. They did have grapefruit juice, which I loved. Several other places we visited on this trip didn’t have that.

Even though it was 100° outside we had a hell of a time. Ranch Water and cocktails were fresh & crisp, not sweet, and all of the food was cooked perfectly. Fire In The Hole shots were probably the best/ most fun shots we’ve ever had. We didn’t have a single thing to improve, I guess that’s why they’ve been there for so long.

Delicious food and great staff. The food came out super quick and our waitress was very friendly. The French toast is AMAZING and is worth a try! Whoever they have singing on Saturday mornings (or who ever was there when I went on 2/18/23) is great and super funny! He made the experience one that will be unforgettable.

Great atmosphere in the middle of downtown. The food was very good. The frog legs was one of the more unique options in the menu we ate. We drank Don Julio Reposado Ranch waters all through dinner and that did rack up after a while but they where SO GOOD. If you aren’t familiar with Ranch Water cocktails, and enjoy tequila, Texas is on of the few states where the bartenders know what this cocktail is and I highly recommend them. They are like a skinny margarita- meaning way less sugar and the sweetness comes from agave, which is a natural sugar. They made really good ones here! You do need to ask for the reposado though because the repo adds more flavor than a blanco would. Also, the mole chocolate bars are really good.

First impressions, the restaurant was jam-packed inside and no room to walk or even pull you chair. The service was quick and efficient. The food description on the menu was delicious but when arrived it was average. Few unique offering on the menu. They don’t serve complimentary chips and salsa. Great food. We had the fried Calamari and it was perfect; light, crunchy, with both Chipotle and Tarragon Aioli. We split a main dish of crab cake and grit cake. Wonderful blending of taste and texture.

Fun staple downtown. Try the ranch water and red fish! Great for larger groups of 6-12 as everyone can find something they like on a reliably solid menu.

5 stars for dessert – chocolate mousse in a slice with a toffee crust; it was a religious experience. The coffee ordered with it wasn’t naughty enough though. The rest of the meal was ok. Service was excellent. Good atmosphere. Would return for dessert.

Nice little restaurant located on the west side of downtown. Seemed like a very popular place. We had a party of 30 and there were still plenty of other patrons. Staff had trouble with the seating ( we reserved in advance) and a little trouble keeping up. The seating issue was cause we had a few extra people join us and that really threw them off. There was room available but they didn’t want to release the tables. We sat outside and were gonna be moved in to be accommodated. It was a little messy. Appetizer was ok, fries oysters Fried okra, fried jalapeno and calamari. That was pretty good. Oysters not so much. I ordered the chicken fried steak. It came back cold, not very tender and very very dark. Bad oil or overcooked. Wife had a burger and she said it had no flavor either. This place is apparently known and the inventor of the Ranch water. I had regular water and t tasted like it was from the ranch so I guess they’re right. Lol I won’t be back. Wasn’t my cup of tea
