Traveling through the area. We called a hotel and and the receptionist recommended this place.
It was well worth the detour the fight with ice and traffic.
The fried chicken on our salad was juicy and flavorful. They brought us plenty of dressing AND I have no idea how they got such amazing tomatoes during the winter months.
We also ordered the beans and cornbread. I honestly thought the cornbread was okay but the beans were fantastic and even better the nest day.
Our waitress was accommodating and patient with us while we asked a lot of questions.
It seems like she knew that we would be happy with our meal before we even got it.

Ended up here on a whim tonight after finding that all the steakhouses had 2-3 hour waits. Food was phenomenal but the service was even better. Our Server, Audrey, was as sweet as pie!! Speaking of pie- the Key Lime pie was the BEST I’ve ever had. Will definitely be back!!

My husband and I came here for dinner, as we were trying to find a place to go that wasn’t a chain. I’ve only been to Ramsey’s one other time but it had been years ago. Also, it was at a complete different location.
If you’re looking for amazing Southern food with generous portions, Ramsey Diner is the place to go. My husband and I ordered the steak dinner, which came with perfectly seasoned mashed potatoes, crispy fried green tomatoes, creamy mac and cheese, and a side of rich, flavorful chicken livers. Every bite tasted like comfort food at its finest. To top it off, we shared a slice of their decadent peanut butter pie—it was the perfect sweet ending to an incredible meal.
This place has Great Southern cooking, hearty portions, and a cozy atmosphere with great wait staff. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The portions were so large we even had leftovers to take home. Hands down, the best restaurant experience we’ve had yet!

This is not to bash this restaurant, but I came in and ordered chicken and dumpling and green beans and mashed potatoes and gravy in my food was at Best low warm. The cornbread was burnt. The best thing was the sweet tea. I was very disappointed and I’ve been eating at Ramsey‘s for a long time, but this was just not good at all. It was an absolute waste of my money. My Husband got meatloaf, which was a little bit better mashed potatoes on his plate were cold as well. The food came out so fast we barely had a moment for conversation so maybe look into making sure your food is warm before you bring it to the table.

Folks. . . This is the place I have been looking for while on travel. . .Great Employees. . .Awesome Food! Had the pot roast and corn and mashed potatoes and cornbread, water and sweet tea. Both glasses never got empty and it felt like I would be eating in Alabama on Sunday. . . Just damn good! Oh. . .and the peach crumble pie. . Put it over the top! Will return every time I am coming thru. . Keep doing what you do!

Had the fried catfish&it was great! Service was great, but I gave 4 stars because it was almost “too great”. Felt rushed to order&the server seemed to be at our table every 5 mins. While customers want help when needed, there needs to be a balance–sometimes you just want to dine in peace.
