of Tomato soup and the artichoke dip appetizer… shouldn’t take long, right?
I sat for 30 minutes waiting for the cup of soup. Flagged down my server, Heather, asked if she could just bring me the soup now and appetizer whenever it was ready. She said sure.
15 minutes later, still no soup. 5 minutes after that, my soup and appetizer plate arrive. Heather asks me if everything is ok, I say no, this took over a half hour. She apologized said she was busy with other tables and she would have the manager stop by. The soup was fine, but the artichoke dip had almost no artichokes and was a gray, tasteless creamy mess, and so salty I couldn’t eat it, as much as I wanted to.
Of course no manager stopped by, so I found him myself, who said it should have never taken that long and comped the meal (which I appreciated).
At that point I’d been there over an hour. The great ambiance and views don’t make up for the bad service and bad food. I will visit again but will never eat here.
The dishes are classic upscaled pub fare and several vegan/veg options. Food and drinks focus on the region.
The food was ok, soup was good.
Beware There was a crazy charge for a side of bread that the waitress made sound like it came with the soup. 3 people at our table said “sure” on her offer for bread on side with
the soup. When we got the bill we were charged $9 for side of bread and $11 for side of gluten free bread!!! We were not expecting or planning to pay $35 in total (after auto gratuity and service charge)for sides of bread! It Felt very misleading.
Everyone was nice but scratching head where the disconnect was in service.
