Here’s my unnecessarily lengthy explanation about how amazing Romona’s Cafe is. As someone who has travelled for work virtually every month for the last 25 years, sitting in a hotel room and searching for a local place to eat is both something I do all the time and something that can be very frustrating. There are times that I start searching and next thing I know an hour has gone by and I’m no closer to deciding. So there are shortcuts I use much like anyone else, I guess. Photos, menu descriptions etc. I look for things that spark some interest or things that make it look like a restaurant has been creative. Sitting in the Nanuet Doubletree Hotel this Saturday morning next to my wife and my hungry 17-year-old son, I really wanted to find something good. I checked the menu at Ramona’s and saw the words “Prettiest French Toast,” and that was basically it. It felt like a dare: “Come to our restaurant and tell us this isn’t the prettiest French toast; we dare you.” So we went, and we ordered it, and it came to the table looking like it was being delivered from the kitchen at the Ritz Carlton in exchange for some obscene amount of money. Except it was priced normally and served in this charming cafe with great natural light and friendly staff and a big convenient parking lot. And so Ramona’s really is that good and totally worth the visit.

Like you’re being invited to someone’s house for brunch. Something about the atmosphere makes one feel happy and provides an intimate experience in this small space. The food was excellent and the service was great and did not feel rushed. The food was well portioned and delicious, like a meal made for the family. My partner and I left super satisfied and will be returning to try more dishes. Thank you for having us!

The place is a bit small but cozy. They have indoor seats and beautiful outdoor seats. The service was immaculate. The food was so fresh and delicious. They did forgot my order of bacon, but quickly brought it out when reminded! I really loved this place. Will be going back for sure. We got the nova Scotia salmon with cucumbers and dill. The classic breakfast and the moonstruck breakfast. We were all satisfied! Prices are pretty reasonable too!

This cute cozy cafe is a hidden gem! I came here with my mom after a doctor appointment for lunch. The server so sweet and pleasant. The food was absolutely delicious!!! My mom had the prettiest Challah French toast. She devoured it. It came with berries and powdered sugar. It was nice and fluffy and perfect consistency. I had the sliders and a side of fries and they were very tasty! Great flavor and quality! We will definitely be back!

Wow this little place is hands down amazing. The sign out front is small, but the food, staff, and overall experience is 20 stories high. Go there ASAP you will thank me. It’s small world charm, and five star taste.

Ramona’s Cafe is a hidden gem. I went for lunch and had the French grilled sandwich made with brie and glazed with apricot jam on a baguette. It was wonderful. My friend had the breakfast menu of French toast with a side of bacon. The portions were generous.
The atmosphere was quaint and inviting. The cafe is on the smaller size, but there is also outside seating. The staff was friendly and provided such a welcoming feel. I highly recommend this lovely cafe for breakfast or lunch.
