A friend told us to get the chilaquiles for breakfast and we did. We got the green sauce and added chorizo with over medium eggs and they were delicious! We also shared a great tasty waffle. The service was surprisingly awesome for a Ramona eatery. The servers were very attentive and a team of 5 different people checked up on us and refilled our drinks and asked if we needed anything on a consistent basis. We felt very taken care of and happy with the service for sure. Pictures posted are after I split the plate with my husband already.

I was visiting after not being in Ramona for nearly 10 years. I wanted to try some local places I never went to when I lived there. I was pleasantly surprised! First, it was a Saturday morning, but I was able to be seated immediately. The kids who work here were friendly, attentive and obviously take their jobs seriously. The manager, Dalia, was very sweet and took orders as well as served customers their food. I got a waffle with bacon. The waffle was perfectly crispy and the bacon was far better quality than I typically see in diners.

Such a cool place. We’ve been here several times, and its always consistently very good. Their biscuits and gravy are a favorite as is the chicken fried steak. My husband got a new meni item, bourbon French toast, and it was delicious! Thick toast, browned perfectly. Breanna was very welcoming and attentive. We’ll be back!

A few times a month, I drive 35 minutes just to go to Romona Cafe. Great food and atmosphere for your local cafe type dining. Tons of great food and tons of great service.
Went yesterday and was rewarded with the kielbasa sausage scramble, fresh tomatoes, plenty of good coffee, and great service! Winning.
Today I was greeted with the spectacular waitress remembering my “usual order” and coffee. Seafood scramble with grilled tomatoes!! Winning!
Brunch today was the kielbasa scramble again. Owner Dalia greeted me with a big hello and a hug, “Merry Christmas”.
Things to remember, Breakfast served all day!!
Made it Sunday for “Linner”. Steak and eggs at 2:00. “Dynomite”.

We were in the area on a weekend getaway celebrating my husbands birthday and we picked this pet friendly restaurant not only to try the 1/2 pound cinnamon roll but also because of the owner Dalia’s story. Originally a busser, she worked her way up to general manager over the last 33 years and amazingly accepted became owner last year. Her pride, commitment, and dedication to making this little spot what it is is truly commendable. It made the experience even better when we found out that Dalia herself was the person taking our order and caring after our table. An owner, on the floor, taking orders and delivering food along side her staff. If that’s not commitment I don’t know what is. Food was great, service amazing, and the story pricless. If you’re going thru Ramona, CA please support this business. ❤️

Excellent food & service! Never a disappointment on our order. The place needs some updating and still keep it’s rustic look. The booth seats as you enter were repaired with tape and needs re-uphostering. Cafe is pet friendly and offers outdoor seating. Strawberry yummy jam looks home made. My blueberry pancakes were amazing! I was so excited to eat and forgot the photos!lol!

Love this cafe! Right in the heart of downtown Ramona, on the way into Julian or Borrego Springs.
The food is delicious, and the menu is expansive! One of those places that really has something for everyone. Great burgers, and amazing breakfast! Definitely recommend any of the omelettes, or the burgers, or ANYTHING!! My favorite has to be the Flamethrower burger, it has a nice kick with the jalapenos on it.

Delicious breakfast and excellent service. We were in a bit of a hurry and we let them know and they got us in and out in 30 minutes! Definitely get a cinnamon roll to go. Definitely don’t get one per person, they are gigantic! One feeds at least 4 people. Probably better there, served warm, if you have room in your stomach. I took half of my breakfast burrito to go it was so much food!

WoW! We both ordered the chicken fried steak with eggs and hashbrowns. It’s probably one of if not the best chicken fried steaks I’ve ever had. Hand made in a world of pre-ordered and the pepper gravy has just a hint of pepper but with an oh so ever tiny bit of sweetness to it. Asked for the salsa for the hash browns, which was also made in-house, and some of the best I’ve ever had! Great flyer with just enough kick! We’ve already decided on a return trip to Ramona just to try more items! The service was FAST, especially for everything being made in-house and as friendly as it could be. Five stars across the board from me and the wife!
