My husband and I have been coming to Ramiro’s long before the new owners took over, and we have noticed the great improvement in the quality of food and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant since Leo and Mary have taken over!
They are really putting their passion and love into their restaurant and it keeps us coming back for our weekly Mexican food. They have great service and truly appreciate their customers.

Absolutely delicious, authentic, Mexican food and the best personal customer service, 2nd to none. Every time we eat here, I get something different and have yet to be disappointed. Steak picado, menudo, enchiladas, tacos… you name it…all delicious. You will be so happy you went. Oh and the chips??? Fresh and hot! Seriously great food!
7/31 Again, another trip from NY to my favorite riverside restaurant, Ramiro’s. It is better than Olivia’s hands down.
Update again Jan 2026 wowza!! Another delicious meal, bar none the best taste like home Mexican food ever!!! Today i had a combo chicken sope and chili relleno and my dad had 3- combo taco, tostada and enchilada. OMG they don’t skimp on the meat, get the more picante salsa and you well truly feel like you died and went to heaven!!

I brought my mother for her birthday because she was sick and wanted some albondigas soup, we arrive and everything was fine till we put in our order for 2 orders of large albondigas soup! The waiter told us he had to check if they had some left (it was like 1-2pm on wed) he comes back and says he can split one Large bowl of soup between us so we agree only for him to bring us two bowls of nothing but some broth and two meatballs each, nothing like the pictures I’ve seen! We were then given rice,onion,limes that we didn’t ask for and were charged for it! I will not be coming back.

My party of 5 walked into the restaurant and where immediately greeted by Maria (owner) who’s friendliness made us feel like family. After she took our drink and food order she brought chips and salsa. Let me tell you the chips and salsa have to be the best I’ve had in the area. Salsa has great flavor and the chips are seasoned well that it compliments the salsa! Maria surprised our table with a complimentary order of nachos. Not pictured…cause they were SO good! Highlight of the nachos was the use of the enchilada sauce. My wife ordered the combination plate with one chicken crispy taco, beef tamale and cheese enchilada, I ordered the beef crispy taco, chile relleno, and the beef tamale. My mother in law ordered the taquitos with a salad, father in law ordered the menudo. All pictured. You can tell these dishes are made with love and detail to flavor. I’m not a fan of restaurant enchilada sauce but this one hit the spot that reminded me of my mom’s cooking, as well as the chile relleno! The tamale had a good meat to corn ratio unlike other places. The favor of the crispy beef taco was mouthwatering delicious! Will definitely get them again! You can definitely tell the chef know what he’s doing in the kitchen with his detail to flavors and his style of cooking. Highly recommend Ramiro’s!

Okay friends, judging by the pictures they allowed me to take of their carne asada plate, there carnitas plate, and a couple of plates some folks that were eating there allowed me to take pictures of, taquitos, and something due to my age I forgot the name of.
Including the deliciousness of my huevos a la Mexicana, and how delicious the other plates looked, and the reasonable prices you can check for yourself on the menus I sent.
I think I can safely say there aren’t too many people that won’t enjoy this 6 months new restaurant.
But don’t believe me check it out for yourselves, one block east of Van Buren on magnolia… Be there or be square
I think I’m going to bring my wife here later this very well could be my new favorite Mexican restaurant in Riverside… Be advised I am a fan of hole in the wall restaurants, thus the three star atmosphere.

Everything on the menu is outstanding. Authentic Mexican food down to the café de olla. The menudo is the best I’ve ever had in my entire lifetime!!! The cocido is magnificent. The Chile Verde plate is full of flavor and finger licking good! The decaf coffee is pleasant and smooth to the palette. It pairs well with the chilaquiles. Oh my gosh! Those chilaquiles will have you coming back for more! This restaurant is beautifully and authentically decorated in true Mexican style. Even the music is well chosen. It adds to the ambience for a very memorable eating experience. The staff is incredible in their service. The restroom was spotless! I can hardly wait to eat there again

This place is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been. We met the owner of the restaurant at baggage claim and since we were visiting Mérida, we asked him what his favorite restaurant was. He said “I’m not just saying this, but it’s my own!” He invited us to come to his restaurant, so we went. Something to note is you need to make reservations because they have a small menu that changes every day, and they make just the right amount of food determined by the reservations made. The recipes are the owners grandfathers recipes, and I’ve never ate such delicious food with so much flavor. And they have refreshers to drink that are delicious. We kept going back because we loved the food so much!!! If you are in Merida, you HAVE to go to this place!!!!

I’ve been coming to this restaurant since I was a kid, and it continues to be one of the true staples of our neighborhood. Their food is always fresh, delicious, and consistently hits the spot, but what keeps me coming back are the people.
Tonight, I had an order placed through DoorDash that unfortunately got cancelled when the system went down. I called in and spoke to the supervisor, who was so kind, patient, and understanding. I decided to head over in person, and they remade my order quickly. He even threw in some complimentary chips and salsa!
It’s rare to find a place where the staff not only cares about the food but also about the people they serve. The supervisor went above and beyond to make sure I felt taken care of, and I left with a full heart. I will definitely end this day with a belly full of deliciousness.
Thank you for being such a pillar in this community and for making moments like this feel personal and special. This is why I’ll always keep coming back!!
