This is a must-try restaurant!! The ramen is one of the best I’ve had in the area.

Ambiance: The service was really good, and there wasn’t too long of a wait. I honestly liked that you pay and order online, it was very efficient.

Ramen: Everything about the ramen was great. I loved that the broth wasn’t too salty and had a nice, creamy flavor. The pork was insanely good. The portion size was great as well, and there were just enough noodles. If you need more, the side order of noodles is enough to make almost a whole second bowl of ramen.

Ok I want to emphasize this review is coming from a vegetarian! So take what I say with the grain of salt. I am so appreciative of a ramen spot having a vegetarian choice for all us vegetarian people.

I went with my husband and a friend on a Friday evening at around 6 PM. There was a slight wait and they have an iPad in front that you can add yourself to a waitlist. I didn’t see an option to add ourselves on wait list prior to arrival. The service was great – they were constantly checking people in even with the waitlist and trying to clear tables out to keep the list moving. We probably waited around 15 minutes for a table. So really 5 stars on the service they were constantly checking in on us and refilling our waters.

I got the vegan tan tan and though the noodles were great, I found the broth to be salty and not overly flavorful. The description said it would have chili oil and I didn’t taste that at all. It really needed some acid or something to brighten the soup as I found the broth to be just one salty note. My husband had the classic tonkotsu and also thought it was just ok.

Space is clean and slightly small. They do have alike a small bar in the back if you’re coming to eat individually very similar to how they do it in Japan. If you’re a big group of 6 or more know likely there will be a wait.

Parking wise is easy and free as it shares the parking lot with Randall’s and is located in a strip mall.

Ordered the Signature Shoyu and Tonkotsu Tan Tan. Bold and full-bodied broths. The ramen noodles were average, not much of a bounce or chew and failed to retain the flavor of the broth. Solid chashu with a light char. The price was a bit high for what was presented. A good but forgettable bowl of ramen. Had to wait a relatively long time after ordering until the food arrived which was unexpected given ramen is supposed to be quick.

Best ramen in Austin, hands down. Every meal I have had here has been awesome. I rarely spend money on eating out but this is one of the exceptions. Appreciate the regional specialties that are done as specials, really cool way to try bowls that are a little more unique. Noodles are made in-house and you can definitely tell – 10/10. Worth the drive any day!

Sunset Shoyu 10/10. Best ramen I’ve had in Austin so far. The broth and noodle texture is closest to authentic Japan. Definitely worth the drive! Come try!

A nice place, everything is very clean, the staff is super friendly, the food arrives quickly at the table, the taste of the broth is genuinely delicious, you can see how they work in the kitchen from the table and there is a lot of space to park! 1000000/10

Top 5 ramen spots in the US imo. We ordered the spicy tonkotsu, chashu rice bowl and chicken karaage and everything was exceptional. Food quality and taste very close to what you get in Japan. Loveed it. Will be back!

Exceptional and authentic ramen. QR code self service is a detractor, but not that big of a deal as the ramen is so good.

No salt with the condiments is very daring, but inspires confidence.

Awesome ramen, y’all. Flavorful, great noodle texture, and sides were tasty.

Joining the waitlist and ordering are all done digitally. I had a mixed of the chicken/dashi broth and the tonkotsu and WOW!! IT WAS PERFECTION!

Highly recommend! The noodles were so good, the mental was fresh, and the ajitama was perfectly jammy.

Worth the drive.
