Wonderful spot for ramen and all types of Japanese food. The decor is super cool and the ordering system is different. You order first then find a table. They have table sizes for all sizes groups. I started with a katsu slider and it was incredible. Katsu was crispy and the bread was soft. I got one of their monthly specials which was a spicy bbq brisket ramen. It was so good. I also got it with a yuzu bomb which went very well with it all. The sweet tea was unique with light notes of Sakura flowers. The ramen would be great on a cool night. Staff is super cool and attentive.

Ambiance: Amazing vibes here!! It’s so aesthetic and clean. The staff is super helpful and gives great recommendations. They also have bottled sodas and house lemonades available. There wasn’t a long wait for our food either, which was a nice plus.
The OG: The broth was super smooth and creamy, not overly salty like many other ramen spots. The pork was incredible with a soy sauce flavor and a touch of sweetness. The egg had that perfect jammy texture with the same delicious flavor. Prices for the ramen are super reasonable, and the portion size was just right.

We came on a Saturday AM. There was a farmers market going on so limited parking but a plus! It was around opening, not too busy. It’s a small restaurant but very clean and good amount of tables. You order at the front, pay and wait for your food. We did not wait long at all. Attentive customer service. We paid $50 for two ramens, gyoza with chili, two sodas, and korokkaaayyy which was a breaded pork and potato croquette. The gyoza was luke warm/cold but cooked perfect. The croquette had a great crunch but just tasted of oil. For ramen, we got hot chx and mi-so -hot. You can make spicy by buying bombs for $5, if needed. The portions were good. The mi-so-hot had good flavor with very thin noodles. Great texture. There was a tiny bit of spice but borderline just flavor. The hot chx ramen is a limited time chicken broth based ramen that tasted like nothing but chili oil so not spicy, no flavor but had that smoky chili oil flavor only. The noodles were on this one were little thicker, bouncier, and cooked perfectly. The meat was the karaage which they gave you a lot of, but the chili oil flavor and broth enhanced the oil they fry the karaage in so I just tasted the frying oil on the chicken. I am sure the chicken as the app would be delicious though. The veggies were fresh and perfect amount on each ramen. Green onions were not crazy in amount as other reviews mention. I wouldn’t discourage anyone from trying for yourself to hit another ATX ramen joint off your bucket list. However, because the food overall for us was extremely oily, with not much flavor, cannot say good nor bad but glad we tried.

Ramen Tatsu-ya looks like authentic Japanese ramen, the decoration was good and the vibe was good, but I think it incorporates some western flavors as well.
The chicken karrage was good, but kind of different from other Japanese restaurants’ dishes.
Miso-hot was good as well, but I could not agree with the OG ramen. It does not taste like any old school ramen I tasted, but still above average and deserves a try.
Overall, it didn’t let me down, but didn’t surprise me either.

It’s my son’s favorite place so naturally he convinced me to go.
Sadly, most of their dishes are pork based and I don’t eat pork. So I had the special and the chicken was so burnt that it messed up the entire dish. Even Sriracha couldn’t save it.
The place was hot too. Coming from someone who’s always cold, that says a lot. The staff is nice and helpful, but if you’re not a pork eater, I’d skip this place.

RAMEN TATSUYAAAAAA
This place introduced me to jammy eggs in ramen and I will never go back from jammy eggs in ramen. I would kill for that delicious little gooey sweet oval of heaven… Besides that, the food is good and the “spicy” items are genuinely spicy! (that’s a plus in my book, but be warned) The environment is super chill and the employees/service are top notch 10/10. They’re open at really nice hours too. One downside is the price, the food is a little expensive, especially for ramen, but you’re paying for quality and speed not quantity/price.

This was my first ever bowl of Ramen and it did not disappoint. I chose the vegan bowl, no extra add-ins. I think it was called the curry ramen. The tofu soaked in the curry goodness was heavenly. The flavours just work together perfectly. But, I was told the broth was a bit runny and not creamy as it should be. I guess I wouldn’t know.
Can’t comment on the other bowls though.

My Ramen was tasty but a little on the salty side. Eat outside of busy hours as seating is limited. We didn’t arrive at a busy time but it took them a minute to acknowledge us at the counter.

Really tasty, good friendly atmosphere, good use of classic hip hop beats for mood (not modern hip-hop mess). Portion of meat could be bigger, ended up ordering seconds to get full.

The food was very mid and not clearly authentic. Ramen was pretty bland and I noticed it was not hot compared to other people next to me. The chicken was hard and overcooked. then I see their soup cans on the wall. I’m sure that’s how they get their broth. The store run by Michael’s and Brian’s and Kyle’s I would pass and keep looking
