This ramen shop was such a pleasant surprise! Everything — from the flavor and service to the atmosphere — was absolutely satisfying.
Taste:
The broth is rich, flavorful, and clearly slow-cooked with care. The noodles are perfectly chewy and springy, soaking up the soup just right. The toppings are well-prepared — the chashu pork is tender and juicy, and the soft-boiled egg is cooked to perfection. If you like spice, try their special chili sauce — it’s fragrant and flavorful without being overpowering.
Service:
The staff are friendly and attentive. From the moment I walked in, they greeted me warmly and made me feel welcome. They offered helpful recommendations without being pushy, and everything was served promptly with a smile.
Atmosphere:
The interior is cozy and has a nice Japanese-style design. The place is clean, comfortable, and not too noisy, even during busy hours. It’s the kind of place where you can relax and really enjoy your meal.
Price & Value:
Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion size. The servings are generous, and you definitely get your money’s worth. The overall value is excellent compared to other ramen places.
Cleanliness:
The tables, utensils, and floors are spotless. Even the restrooms are clean and well-maintained — it really shows how much the owners care about every detail.
Overall:
A fantastic experience all around — delicious ramen, warm service, and a comfortable atmosphere. You can tell they put their heart into what they do. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to friends!
Had the Kakuni Ramen here and wow… it was next level. The broth was rich and creamy, packed with deep umami flavor — you can tell it’s been simmered for hours. Every sip was comforting, flavorful, and perfectly balanced — not too salty, not too oily, just pure deliciousness.
The noodles were bouncy and chewy, cooked just right so they held up beautifully in the broth. But the real star? The kakuni (braised pork belly). It was insanely tender — the kind of melt-in-your-mouth goodness that makes you close your eyes for a second. The fat was silky, the lean part flavorful, and the sauce had that perfect mix of sweet soy and savory richness. Absolute perfection.
Toppings were also spot-on: the soft-boiled egg was gooey in the center, veggies were fresh and crisp, adding just enough balance to the rich broth. I literally finished the whole bowl — not a drop left.
The shop itself feels super cozy and authentic — warm lighting, wooden decor, soft Japanese music in the background. It’s got that relaxed Tokyo ramen-bar vibe that makes you want to sit there forever.
Staff were so kind and welcoming, with genuine smiles and quick service. They even took time to explain the menu and make sure everything was perfect.
All in all, this Kakuni Ramen totally stole my heart — rich broth, perfect noodles, and pork that melts like butter. Comfort food at its best. Can’t wait to come back and try more! ❤️
We didn’t need to wait despite not having a reservation and we were there around 6pm.
The ramen was good, and the gyozas were nicely fried. They are super accommodating when allergies and made something special for us.
Some of the staff seemed under pressure or stressed out, which took something away from a top notch experience.
The ambience is good and also the service.
The decoration is quite good though.
The waiters are super nice, the decorations make it look like you stepped into an urban restaurant hidden in Tokyo.
Can only recommend to anyone looking to eat real japanese food.
