A Quiet Bowl of Tasty Flavors
Ramen Nagomi doesn’t shout for attention it is more like a gentle hum. Tucked quietly in Freehold, this little ramen bar looked closed from the outside and delivers a japanese style minimalist warmth, pairing cool with comfort in a way that feels almost meditative.
The meal begins gently with edamame, bright and fresh sprinkled with salt flakes, offering that perfect balance of sweetness and salt, the kind that keeps you reaching for more. Then comes the pork belly bun (kakuni bao), a soft cloud wrapped around tender, melt-in-your-mouth pork. The richness sings, though a touch more salt than needed slightly tips the balance. Still, it’s hard not to love something that decadent.
Then the main act, the Tonkatsu Ramen. The broth is unexpectedly light, yet full of depth and clarity, the sort that refreshes rather than overwhelms. Every element plays its part: the noodles with their gentle bounce, the broth that lingers softly on the tongue, and a seasoned egg so perfectly marinated it borders on art, jammy, delicate, and rich with umami.
The experience is lifted by an unexpected but delightful soundtrack: a mix of Taylor Swift, Jennie from BLACKPINK, and even songs from K-Pop Demon Hunters, a playful nod to global pop culture that somehow fits perfectly. The music gives the space a youthful pulse, balancing the calm with just enough energy to make you smile between bites.
At Ramen Nagomi, nothing feels rushed. Each detail from the clean, balanced flavors to the music overhead works together to create something quietly joyful. It’s not just a bowl of ramen, it’s a reminder that comfort and care can still be found in the simplest forms.

Today I visited Ramen Nagomi in freehold NJ. The vibe here is very nice, modern and intentional. Great spot for a quiet lunch or a date if you catch it during a quiet time of day.
I ordered the chicken karage, burned garlic tonkatsu ramen, and a green tea.
Everything tasted great. I can’t wait to go back.

Ramen Nagomi- Freehold is your place to go when you need that hit of hunger-quenching ramen. Anything you order here is the best you can eat. It also doesn’t hurt having a calm, quiet atmosphere and attentive, friendly staff.

I can’t give it a 1 star but nor a 5 star. The food is really delicious but unfortunately very recent, about 1-2 months now the food taste off. It wasn’t as delicious as it used to and its almost like they’re reheating already premade food. Its also has given upset stomach after having a meal so I assume something is wrong. However great service.

I am a huge Ramen fan! Visited this place for a quick luck. Just had vegetarian Ramen and miso Ramen. Soup was delicious, but the proportion of soup and noodles wasn’t great, we felt there was much less soup in the Ramen. Very well kept place though, simple, neat and clean. Staff is very nice too. Noodles for some reason weren’t as edible as I had in other Ramen places. Slightly disappointed but the soup in the Ramen was definitely delicious. I will definitely visit again to try something else.

Was a bit unsure of what to expect as many places are not very vegetarian friendly but Ramen a ago I had a wonderful tasty selection.
We had several apps including the cucumber salad, Sesame Tofu Bao and vegan Gyoza. We also had the vegetarian ramen, vegetarian curry ramen and inari crispy rice as our mains.
Very large bowls with very full portions, you won’t be hungry after this bowl for sure. All of the food was very tasty , much more so than I expected. Recommend this place for a
great meal. We’ll definitely be back!

I believe I really wanted more with the flavors, I lived in Japan 4+ years and thought oh! A ramen spot near me! The karage was not up to par… same with the shrimp. If you have to reply on the siracha mayo to bring the whole dish together… it’s not a good look. The broth of the ramen could’ve been more, it was by means not spicy at all. I just really expected more from the dishes but the price was decent for everything. The ice cream was really good (:

A small, cozy joint. There were two Indian restaurants here before Nagomi. I crave good ramen, so when I saw this place, I was excited. I won’t say they are perfect, but give them time and feedback, and they’ll impress you. The food was piping hot, the presentation was excellent, the staff was lovely and attentive, and the food was priced right. It isn’t overpriced, but it isn’t fast food either. Oh, and you can request customization. I swapped Pork with Chicken, but the only thing was that the chicken strips looked and tasted like they came out of a bag from Sams Club (they need to work on that).

The miso crab ramen and chicken shio ramen is sooo delicious. The broth is AMAZING! The noodles were cooked perfectly. You get a good amount of TENDER chicken and crab in your ramen. So much flavor in your mouth! We also ordered the chicken boa and chicken kiraange for appetizers which were yummy. The food is fresh and made to order. This place gets crowded quick but it’s worth it. I love coming here often! Stop in and enjoy! Tastebuds will be satisfied!
