If you ever want to experience a meal that feels like watching Notre Dame casually dismantle Pitt for the 67th time in your lifetime, get yourself to Ramen King. I walked in hungry, hopeful, and ready to eat like an offensive lineman after a bye week. The vibe inside is warm and welcoming — basically the opposite of how Pitt feels every time they see Notre Dame on the schedule.
I ordered the ramen with both chicken and beef, because if Notre Dame can stack talent, so can my bowl. When it came out, it looked like a roster loaded with five-star recruits. The chicken was tender, the beef was rich, and the noodles had more bounce than Pitt’s defensive backs trying (and failing) to cover anything deep.
The broth? Oh, the broth. Smooth, flavorful, comforting — like the feeling ND fans get when they wake up knowing Pitt is just there to boost their win column. One sip and I swear I heard the Notre Dame Victory March playing softly in the background. The depth of flavor was insane; meanwhile, Pitt fans are still wondering why their depth chart never seems to pan out the same way.
Every bite hit like a highlight reel. The chicken was so good I considered giving it Offensive Player of the Game. The beef came in hot like a linebacker blitz Pitt forgot to pick up. Together, they formed a combo more dominant than Notre Dame’s fourth quarter drives when Pitt is already emotionally packing their bags.
Even the toppings did work. The veggies were crisp, the egg was perfect, and the seasoning had more kick than Notre Dame putting up 50 on Pitt just because they felt like it. The bowl honestly felt unfair — like Pitt watching ND run the same play for the fifth time and still not stopping it.
The staff? Absolute legends. Fast, friendly, and delivering food with the precision of an ND QB threading a pass through whatever Pitt calls a secondary. They checked on me more consistently than Pitt checks the scoreboard, which… probably wasn’t great for them last season.
As I kept digging into the bowl, I realized something powerful: this ramen had the same effect on me that Notre Dame has on Pitt. It humbled me. It overwhelmed me. It took command of my entire evening. By the time I finished, I was staring at the bottom of the bowl the same way Pitt players stare at the clock praying the game ends faster.
Walking out of Ramen King, I was full, happy, and spiritually enlightened. I felt like giving a post-game press conference:
“Yeah, I gave it everything I had. The chicken and beef combo came to play. The broth executed the game plan. We just tried to stay disciplined, but honestly, the flavor dominated us start to finish.”
If you want a meal that’s comforting, hilarious, elite, and a little disrespectful to Pitt by comparison, Ramen King is your spot.
Five stars.
Six touchdowns.
Zero mercy — just like Notre Dame vs Pitt.

The good is delicious! The soup base has a Chinese 5 spice flavor. I enjoy it but I know some people don’t like it. The pork soup dumplings and the steamed boa are so scrumptious I wish I could’ve eaten more. I’ll 1000% be back! The staff were super friendly, calm, and helpful. A definite delight I wanna say hidden gem. Also wasn’t any of wait time at 8pm on Valentine’s Day. The chef treated us with a on house tuna roll.

This is hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve had the pleasure of eating at in the last year. Hospitality is greatly appreciated in a time where your money is expected and not appreciated. They even offer to refill your broth! I got the thinnest hand pulled beef noodle soup and the spider roll but I’ll be sure to try the regular noodle size next time per my food expeditors recommendation. Will be back at least weekly!

All our food was cooked and prepared perfectly. The fried tempura was so tender, I highly recommend it.

We had, pgh roll and Godzilla roll, delish. Sausage fried rice, different is all I’ll say. The shrimp fried noodles were very good. You seem to get your food quickly.

I’ve been here numerous occasions with my friends and I’d say 9/10 times it’s a similar experience. The food is always delicious, and I’ve been around to a LOT Of places. Their soups and Crab Rangoon I’ve heard are great from my friends, but I normally get the sushi/nigiri which is delicious. This time I got the Teriyaki Poke Bowl, the Rainbow Roll, and the Boston Roll – which were ALL Amazing. The sushi definitely tasted way better today than usual, despite the fact that they were busy. I even made a modification to the Poke Bowl and they followed through like usual. The staff are always extremely friendly and pay close attention. Atmosphere makes it seems like a little cozy shop in my opinion, but it does sometimes change based on the amount of people and sometimes just throughout the year. It seems maybe a tiny bit more expensive than others but the quality is always great. The only thing I wish is that they offered maybe 2 more pieces of sushi with the orders. 6/5 – will absolutely consistently keep coming back and definitely deserved a fantastic rating.

Ramen could use more ingredients — its just clear broth, noodles, meat, and some bok choy, then egg if you pay extra. Some mushrooms or miso broth would be nice

This is a good place, the food is outstanding. Really delicious. But the service is terrible. We had a party of four. Our order was one ramen dish, one noodle stir fry, one combo bowl and one sushi plate. None of the dishes came at the same time. Ramen was first, noodle and bowl came next about 10 min later. The sushi dish arrived 20 min later near to the time everyone was about finished with their dishes. Tasted great but terrible service
