I had the privilege of eating from here three nights in a row a few weeks ago, and I enjoyed every moment of it. The food was incredible, and Alan and his team were truly wonderful. There was something about each meal that kept drawing me back. Honestly, it reminded me of the movie *Simply Irresistible*—where people become almost entranced by the food because of the care and heart the chef pours into every dish.

Hidden Gem in Tempe – Ramen Dozu

Chen at Ramen Dozu was incredibly nice and welcoming from the moment we walked in. You can really tell they care about their guests—Chen checked on us throughout the meal to make sure everything was perfect.

The food? Not only is it affordable, but the portions are huge—you definitely get your money’s worth. And despite the low prices, the quality of the food is top-tier. Every bite tasted fresh and full of flavor.

This spot has been around for 9 years, and it’s clear why. It’s a true hidden gem in Tempe. Do not sleep on this place if you’re craving quality ramen and great service.

Was really good. A bit far from my house but on special occasions we usually come. The miso and tonkotsu ramen are SOO good. California rolls are too. Tempura tastes a bit weird but overall the food is ☆SPECTACULAR☆.

We loved the ramen soup – the tonkatzu. The gyoza was also very tasty. Restaurant was very busy so our order got lost in the shuffle. We had not had anything to eat all day so it was a bit frustrating but the food was delicious.

Wow, my husband and I were so impressed with Ramen Dozo! The place may look unassuming from the outside, but once you step inside, the atmosphere is absolutely perfect. The food was fantastic—everything we tried was delicious! We had the ramen, gyoza, spicy edamame, shrimp fried rice, spicy tuna roll, and a California roll.

I’m usually not a huge fan of ramen because I don’t like the noodles or broth, but I was absolutely blown away by the flavors here. I ate the whole bowl! The portions were generous—they actually split our ramen into two bowls, and I still felt like it was a great portion size. The gyoza was also a standout, especially with the spicy sauce. We couldn’t stop dipping our sushi into it! The spicy edamame had just the right kick, with hints of garlic that made it so addictive.

The customer service was top-notch, and we’ll definitely be coming back for more. This place is a must-try, and we’ve already decided to make it a regular stop!

I always go there once in a while, love there food, especially their ramen, I love how they make tofu. Atmosphere is amazing, cozy, I don’t feel overwhelmed, I get easily overwhelmed if there’s too much noise. Service there amazing so nice, if anything saying they are rude, might check yourself out because they are amazing people. Staff is so lovely bless their hearts. If its a rush I understand trying to greet people understandable. How much I spend was fair, I don’t mind. I adore remembering the staff checking up on us, thank you for that. Highly recommend!!!

I so appreciate when a restaurant has vegan options for me and non-vegan choices for my husband. I had the veggie gyoza—which had a wonderfully delicate crunch—and the veggie tempura udon. Delicious and perhaps the best tempura I’ve ever had and the udon had great texture. My husband tried the sake (served cold) which he enjoyed. He also had the shrimp shumai and katsu don. He loved it all. Would definitely recommend.

My family and I have been to numerous ramen restaurants. My son and I had shrimp tempura udon. This was truly the best tasting ramen meal. Thank you to the wonderful staff for taking such great care of us. When we left, the place was packed. Prices were great! 2 meals under $30 total. Thank you! We will be back!

We heard some good reviews about this restaurant and decided to give it a try when we were in the area.

The restaurant wasn’t busy when we arrived with 3-4 tables. A waitress took our orders. We waited about 45 mins before noticing that other tables who came after us already got their food. The waitress realized that the order wasn’t put it. She apologized and offered us a complimentary roll. We got our food about 20 minutes later!

After we ate, the waitress brought a check which didn’t include a complimentary roll. We gave our credit card. Upon the return, we saw the receipt with an additional charge of the roll which was offered as a complimentary. We inquired and got a confirmation that they canceled the additional charge and only charged the two entrees. However, we just saw that they ended up charging the complimentary roll regardless.

The food was ok. However, level of service and customer care is very unsatisfactory. We wont be back again due to the dishonest service.

After 4 days without asian food, this really hit the spot. Got the tonkatsu ramen with pork. Broth could be alil richer but everything else was really good (be warned to not drink too much of the broth unless u want to be very thirsty after ). decently priced.9/10
The small add on gyudon however was quite expensive for the portion. It was good though. 7/10.
Atmosphere is abit dark/stuffy but a welcome respite from the sun.
Service was fast
