I went here excited to try some “Real” Ramen as I’d call it and it wasn’t what I wasn’t expecting. It wasn’t good to me but I’m also used to packaged ramen so I can’t give a fair comparison but the bao buns were really fluffy and yummy. If you like this kind of food I’d recommend it! Good atmosphere plus outdoor seating on the square.

A ramen joint inside the old courthouse, The Ramen District is a solid option if you’re in town, passing by, or actively seeking a ramen place in Lake County.

A gem! Small menu but small kitchen so I imagine they have to do the best with what they have. And what they do, they do VERY well. Menu changes so it gives persuasion to keep coming back. Ramen is flavorful and you get a very nice sized bowl. My only critique would be a bigger bowl for the fried rice. Hard to eat when it’s piled so high in a small bowl. Drinks are delicious, even the non alcoholic ones!! Definitely worth trying if you have higher standards for your tongue.

I came here about a month ago with my fiance. We love ramen and were excited to try a new place out but unfortunately were disappointed with the ramen. The ambience is very nice (except for the close seating to others) and service was friendly. We ordered the shareable pork bao buns which were delicious but the actual ramen didn’t taste authentic. The noodles tasted like store bought prepackaged noodles and the broth didn’t have any flavor. My pork ramen was all fat and our eggs were cold in each bowl. My fiance had the smoked chicken ramen and it literally had the whole piece of chicken breast in it (not shredded or into pieces). How are you supposed to eat that with chop sticks?? The dessert and boba tea sounded interesting and also odd but after my experience I didn’t even want to risk trying it and not liking it.

I haven’t been to this restaurant before, but decided to go and try this restaurant tonight. Well, I plug it into the gps and it doesn’t exactly tell you where it is in the old lake court house. I decided to call at 8:11pm to ask where could we enter since I’ve haven’t been here before and couldn’t locate the entrance. The young women that answered wasn’t of any help at all and just laughed and said “through the door that says ramen district” while laughing and giggling being very condescending. I wouldn’t recommend coming here if that’s how you would treat new potential customers.

Had a great dinner here on a Friday! To start with, our waitress was excellent. Hands down best service we’ve had in a long time. Cocktails were great, fresh, and well balanced. I highly recommend the Ryu (pictured)! Tried a few sharables. The gyoza (dumplings) were great. The pork belly bao buns were good – I’m a bit picky with wanting pork to be super super crispy (pork belly, bacon, etc) – but if you like pork belly you’ll like these! The menu tells you how many of an item comes in an order. I had the drunken noodles as my entree which were absolutely phenomenal – the smoked chicken that comes in it is very good, and most of their meat I believe is locally sourced. Also got to try the pork ramen, and not even liking ramen I couldn’t stop obsessing about the broth! Might get that instead next time we go. Had to try dessert after the meal was so good – ordered the pear. Definitely a unique dessert, with pear, crispy pear skin, and pork belly ice cream (which was surprisingly great!) I just didn’t love the sesame seeds on top personally (but my other party member did). On top of service and food, SUCH a cool spot in the bottom of the courthouse. Has kind of a kill bill vibe to it even down to the playlist and we LOVED it!! 5/5 hands down.

Nathan was the bartender/server. Guy did a good job. Made the correct suggestion I was looking for. He suggested the collab beer which was better than I thought it would be. My Ramen was excellent and a good portion too.

Excellent ambiance, cuisine, and people. You’ll enjoy this place whether you’re a ramen novice or a ramen aficionado. All of the dishes are generously portioned, and each has its own distinct and delicious flavor profile that will satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. Anyone searching for a casual meal, a night out with their friends, or simply a fast appetizer and cocktail should go here! I love how the square constantly adds new restaurants to push people out of their culinary comfort zones and into a great overall experience! The staff is always friendly and helpful with any queries you might have, so don’t be afraid to try it! I recommend the pickle plate, pork belly, and shrimp fried rice with the chile-garlic crunch added! They have a peach cocktail as well; it’s fantastic!
