We have ordered to-go from here but recently, in an impromptu decision we dined in. The food is fresh and delicious. The ambiance is very calm and beautiful. Our server was very helpful and kind.
We ordered chicken karaage for starters and garlic chicken broth ramen as the main course. The serving size is quite big.
I saw a vegetarian dish on the menu but I’m not sure if the broth is vegetarian as well.
There is lots of parking on site.
We hope to return soon.

They have one of the best Japanese curries in DFW. I was highly impressed and will go back just for it. I got it with the Karaage which was crispy and delicious. The curry itself is a chunkier curry which I enjoy more because it feels fresh made.

The atmosphere was great. I ordered the spicy pork ramen and edamame which was delicious but nothing exciting although they did serve a little drink at the end of the meal, I don’t think it was Sake it had a rose flavor to it with no alcoholic taste. It was refreshing and a nice touch. The service was lacking although the waitress was very nice she sat at the front of the restaurant focused on her phone missing opportunities to give the customers great service.

I visited Ramen Akira and had a mixed experience.We ordered the shrimp and vegetable appetizer, which was just okay. The taste was different from what I’ve had before, and there was a noticeable oil smell in the shrimp.The ramen was good overall, but the vegetarian one was too salty. On the positive side, service was good, and the ambiance was cute and beautiful, making for a pleasant dining atmosphere.

I dont get revenge often but was in the mood for something hot, filling, and delicious. I got their garlic chicken broth. With all the fixings thst come with it the bowl was awsome. 1/2 way through I decided to add some spice and it was even better.

I went there for lunch today. I am big fan of Japanese ramen. There was only 2 tables including me. The server, named Danzel, was SUPER NICE. He is the only positive about this restaurant. My ramen was not cooked well. Noodles were chunked up. So, the server asked to kitchen for making again. But, the guy who in the kitchen seems very unhappy with that. He literally frowned. Also, chicken karaage was too salty. The foods are not worth it at all.

Surprisingly empty for a Friday night at 7:30 pm. Food was great! We got seaweed salad, calamari rings, and garlic pork shoyu. Service could definitely be a lot better. We were the only people in the restaurant. Staff was visibly on their phones and eating their dinner in front of us. Kind of unprofessional.

This is a charming little restaurant with ramen that matches the taste and quality of the original store in Lewisville. While the service was a bit slow—there was only one server, and it seemed like just one cook in the kitchen—the quality of the food more than made up for the wait. I’m thrilled to have such a great ramen spot close to home! I highly recommend the spicy garlic pork shoyu ramen, but if spice isn’t your thing, the non-spicy version is just as delicious.
