We were there later Friday morning. No wait. Ordering is at a counter, Self seating. Plenty of seating in the dining area. The decor was simple, but interesting. Nothing fancy, just simple and clean.
I ordered the Santa Fe omelet. It had crisp bacon and some of the best, and hottest, green chili over had in a restaurant.
My wife ordered Carne Adovada. It looked like the red chili might have been added after cooking the meat rather than being simmered together. The red chili was pretty mild, at least in comparison to the green. The dish was tasty, but didn’t compare with the green chili of the omelet. My wife doesn’t handle spicy as well so it worked out for us.
If you can handle the heat, come get something with the green chili. There are milder choices if your partner can’t.
If you can’t handle the heat, there are better choices.

Chicken quesadilla was just wet chicken, soggy tortilla, and almost no cheese, but was edible at least. Despite this place calling itself a cafe, gas stations have the same coffee quality and with more selection. But the green chili was surprisingly good and very hot.

Fantastic food. The green chili is actually got some heat to it, Unfortunately so many restaurants in Santa Fe has been ruined by tourists who come crying to their mommy after having green chili that actually has anything resembling bite to it.
This is good food appropriately spiced in generous quantities.
Definitely check this place out.
Check out my post history. You’ll notice that I almost never post anything positive about any restaurant. This is the exception.

First time enjoying this small cafe . WOW I was impressed. I had the bacon breakfast burrito with Christmas. The green was my favorite spicy and flavorful. The red was more mild but rustic and fresh (I liked the heat level of the green ) The burrito was perfect, great bacon , perfect eggs , and home cut potatoes . A lot of friendly regulars was a plus . This will be a frequent stop now when I’m in Santa Fe ( live in Albuquerque) . The place is as good as the Burrito Lady . In the way out I grabbed one of there homemade baked goods on the counter and it was just as good . Oatmeal cookies with pinion , not too sweet , fresh , and perfectly soft .

Very good breakfast burrito, the potatoes melt in your mouth, the green chili spicy enough and tasty. Not dry at all. I tried every place in Santa Fe, I give those places one star, yak… You guys are right on. Amazing

We had green chile and bacon burritos and a breakfast plate. The food is delicious and in my opinion, one of the best burritos in Santa Fe. Everything tastes and feels homemade! The service wonderful and all employees are very kind.

Delicious breakfast at this cute place.
Ordering was fast, and the food was quick also. I had a hand held green xhile bacon breakfast burrito and my partner had a smothered Carne adovada breakfast burrito.
They had a nice layer of egg, perfectly cooked potatoes, cheese and in my case the bacon was done just right, not fatty and not over cooked. The green chile was yummy, a little spicy on its own maybebut in the burrito it was a win.
The red chile on my partners burrito wasn’t bitter, which is often the case with oven dried red, and very good.
Only one small issue, the adovada had a big chunk of cartilage.

Excellent food. Super quiet atmosphere. The decor is very Santa Fe and the food is the main attraction! I grew up in Las Cruces so I have a good understanding of New Mexican cuisine. This food is right up there if not better than most others touting their authentic cuisine at a top dollar experience. Ramblin Cafe keeps it real with real New Mexican homemade tortillas and from scratch Chile sauces. Truly a gem in the rough.
I had the enchiladas with ground beef and Christmas sauce (red and green Chile). The corn tortillas were exactly how I like it. Flat, lightly fried topped with a ton of ground beef and cheese. One of the best green Chile sauces I’ve ever tasted.
This is a must come and enjoy places here in Santa Fe. I’ll be back and will highly recommend. Thank you!!
