Great quality izakaya.

We found Raku while izakaya hopping in Vegas. Ready to get a little taste of Japan, we were pleasantly surprised by the house-made tofu option and well-balanced skewers and small plates. Although the beef liver was too gamey for my personal preferences, most of the dishes we ordered were quite delectable.

Just a tad bit of professionalism for some members of the service team could make the restaurant experience even more superb!

Tried the $150 tasting course and unfortunately the food was mediocre at best and definitely not worth the price. Best bites were the house made tofu, beef filet skewer and pork cheek skewer. I also quite enjoyed the braised eggplant. Service felt quite off. Very nice restroom though

Very low chance I’d want to come back, but if I do, it’d be a la carte only, and primarily for the skewers

I did some izakaya hopping after hearing that Vegas has a surprisingly fun food scene. I started at Raku and then moved on to Hachi, among others. I began with Sapporo draft beer, as Asahi was not available on draft despite being listed on the menu. I ordered a variety of skewers, tofu dishes, and seafood menus besides sashimi and nigiri. Overall, I was quite satisfied with both the presentation and the quality of the food, which I found enjoyable and well above average for my palate. I especially appreciated that the dishes were not over-seasoned, allowing the natural flavors to stand out.

However, the service felt overly casual and lacked the level of attentiveness and explanation I would expect at restaurants in this price range. That said, I would consider visiting again on a future trip to Vegas.

Raku is THAT spot.
Crispy skewers, juicy grilled meats, and the most flavorful crab I’ve had in a while. Everything tasted fresh, smoky, and perfectly seasoned. Cozy izakaya energy and ideal for sharing plates. Already planning my next visit.

This is the second place we have been here and its been great. The decor, the greet, and the service is what you can ask for in a Japanese restaurant.

The food is really good, quality, and tasteful, the delicate taste of each dish, the minute yet flavorful taste of the miso soup, the fluffy yet subtle saltiness of the salmon eggs and soy based soup was complimentary.

Each dish was very unique and carefully prepared. I recommend this place for anyone who wants to enjoy a proper Eloquent but yet quaint dinner with their loved one or someone whom they have been dating for a while.

Delicious!! There are so many options of different chicken parts, seafood, and more. The chicken wing, thigh, and heart were so tender and flavorful. The foie gras was EXCELLENT. Soo fatty and savory We also ordered the uni & ikura don special and it was super fresh! Prices were reasonable overall.

The only negative is that they were out of quite a few items when we ordered.

My husband and I had dinner at Raku last night and it was absolutely incredible.

Our waitress and waiter were both so kind, attentive, and helpful throughout the meal. Our waitress recommended a beautiful plum sake that we ended up loving.

We ordered the agedashi tofu, hotate sashimi, fish kama, and foie gras egg custard. For robata, we chose the foie gras, Kobe beef with wasabi, beef liver, kurobuta pork cheek, duck with balsamic glaze, and mushroom with bacon. Every dish exceeded our expectations, but the hotate sashimi and kurobuta pork cheek were our absolute favorites.

By the end, we were happily stuffed and already talking about when to come back. What an excellent dinner and such a special dining experience. We will definitely be returning soon!

Raku in Las Vegas delivered one of the very best Japanese tasting dinners I’ve ever had. The multi-course chef’s tasting menu was an absolute masterpiece, showcasing the freshest ingredients of the day. From exquisite raw sushi to unique delights like Japanese river crabs, every dish was a bold, flavorful adventure—perfect for adventurous eaters! Sharing sake with the chef added such a personal, authentic touch to the experience. The service was impeccable, and the intimate, small setting only enhanced the feeling of being in a true Japanese gem. This place is a work of art! Be sure to reserve well in advance, as spots fill up fast. Hands down, one of my favorite dining experiences ever.

Another overall solid experience at Raku. The space is tight but the host went out of his way to find a spot for me. While some dishes, like steamed egg with uni and ikura, cold soba with steamed egg and pork belly special (see photo) were outright delicious, the execution on pork cheek skewer (too much fat) and pork rib special (a bit dry) was uneven. The place could probably use one more person upfront. Overall, highly recommended for an authentic Izakaya experience.

Our go-to spot every time we’re in Vegas! As former owners of a Japanese restaurant ourselves, we’re pretty picky when it comes to Japanese food—and this place never disappoints.

The food is consistently excellent, with amazing attention to detail and authentic flavors in every dish. You can truly taste the quality in the ingredients and the care in how everything is prepared. From the presentation to the flavor balance, every bite reflects true Japanese culinary craftsmanship.

The service is always friendly, attentive, and welcoming, and the atmosphere is cozy yet refined—perfect for a relaxing date night or casual dinner. It’s clear they take pride not only in their food, but also in creating a great dining experience.

Highly recommend this gem if you’re looking for authentic Japanese cuisine in Vegas. We keep coming back—and it just gets better every time!
