We’re new in town, just passing by and wanted some authentic Thai food. As we are very two foodie folks from Tennessee, in searching for the best Asian food in each state. We came across this very cute restaurant, family owned. The gentleman in the front took good care of us. He mentioned his mom was the chef. We made sure to let him know it that his mother is a great chef! Prefect on every bite. We will be coming back when we come into town again!

I came after getting a haircut nearby and I was hungry. When I first got here, I was the only customer, but others came quickly. After choosing my seat, I got a water and Thai Iced Tea. The gentleman working was very friendly. I got the chicken fried rice and it was very good. Inside is very basic decor, minimalist. There is plenty of parking. Shared parking lot, easily accessible.

First time eating there upon recommendations from a local. The Pad Thai was wonderful noodles chewy and well cooked. I asked for 4 stars and it was every bit of that. They aren’t afraid of the heat which is awesome. I also had the spring rolls. Very crispy and the wrapper still had texture. I can’t wait until my next trip to the are to go back again. Only complaint I have is the hours aren’t long enough. If they were open until 8 I could eat there every day of my next trip.

This was the best Thai food my wife and I have ever had, especially the chicken pad Thai! We do not know how they make it but all the textures are perfect from the noodles to the extremely creamy peanut sauce.
The service is also fantastic! It is a small restaurant where Mom cooks in the back with help from the Dad and the son waits tables.
I highly recommend giving them a try! You will not be disappointed! You will be extremely full and miserable but not disappointed ha

So Justin & I have been looking for a great Thai place and it looks like we found it!! I ordered to go and order the combination pad thai, wings and garlic chicken. Everything tasted fresh and the bachoy in the garlic chicken was excellent! Very flavorful and I also need to mention that the interior of the restaurant is beautiful! The chicken wings were so good Justin ate them all except for one for me to try! So happy we gave Rakong a try, we were very impressed!

Hot Thai food, best fried tofu in the area. Chicken wontons are very good. Ample vegetables on the stir fry and pad Thai is pretty good.
Stir fried cashews are good as well.
Only downside for me here is sometimes the hours, and it gets really loud inside. Otherwise I recommend this restaurant.

If this pineapple fried rice isn’t the most beautiful thing you’ve seen, than you’re going to love the taste of it even more. I got the cashew tofu and it was delicious, we all shared some of our dishes to try and it was SO GOOD. Live in Baton Rouge, would drive to Covington just to get some more!! Come visit if you haven’t, thanks for the best experience Bobby!
