Great spot to get Ramen and enjoy the view. This Ramen shop serves vegetable broth only. Though delicious, Ramen eaters will taste the difference. The vegetable broth is lighter and less heartier then beef broth. I ordered their limited time Ramen dish called Texas Ramen. It came with four pieces of chasu. Broth was flavorful and the meat was portioned well. I also ordered the fried pork gyoza. It was tasty.

Atmosphere is cozy and calming. Service was fantastic. I recommend this restaurant not only for Ramen lovers, but to those who want to try something a little different. I also recommend this restaurant for vegetarians and vegans.

The ramen is worth 9-12 dollars not the 16-18 they charge. Broth is good but everything is cooked separately so expect cold eggs “which still taste great best part of the ramen”, dry unseasoned chicken, and a mediocre time. It’s not bad but there’s other restaurants in walking distance to try out; so hard to come back to a ramen place with ok ramen.

Flying fish is pretty good over here, I just went over for the brownie shown in the picture

Rakkan Ramen in Coppell was a great experience, especially for a family meal. The kids ramen was perfect—simple, flavorful, and just the right portion, which made it an easy win for younger eaters.

I ordered the large pork bowl, and it was super satisfying. The pork was tender and well-seasoned, paired nicely with the rice and toppings. Definitely filling and full of flavor.

The garlic miso ramen was the standout for me—rich, savory, and packed with umami without feeling too heavy. You can really taste the depth of the broth, and the noodles were cooked perfectly.

What really made the visit even better was the manager, who was extremely friendly and accommodating, making sure we were taken care of and comfortable throughout the meal. Clean restaurant, quick service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality ramen in the Coppell area.

Dinner on a Tuesday around 6:00pm and there was no wait.

I ordered the Quartz Extra Spicy with Pork Chasu and my friend had the Quartz with the default chicken. If you love spicy like me, its easy to handle the heat here. We also ordered the Brussel Sprouts to share.

The ramen was delicious and filling. The broth isn’t as heavy and rich as typical tonkotsu style but this was still nicely flavorful. The Brussels sprouts were delicious and we enjoyed the creamy sesame sauce it came with.

Overall delicious. We would return for a ramen fix in the area.

The food is bland and unbalanced. I got the quartz ramen and toppings all felt out of place, not to mention the creamy broth was watery. My partner got the pearl broth which tasted like store bought shoyu – basic clear broth w onion.

Make the drive to grab better ramen and avoid the $17 rip off.

I recently stopped by for lunch with my family, and we were blown away by the flavors of the dishes. While the service was initially a little slow, as it took a bit of time to get seated, the rate at which the dishes came to our table made up for it. As soon as we finished our appetizers, our entrees appeared on the table. As a vegaterian, I did not feel that there was any lack of options for me on the menu. From the various textures in the vegan buns to the burst of flavor in the creamy ramen, nothing disappointed us. The staff was polite and comfortable with giving recommendations, something that’s always a green flag! The decor and lighting was well set, making the space flexible. This restaurant could be perfect for date night, or a family dinner. Overall, I would definitely recommend because this is one of the best ramen places I’ve been too.

We ordered the spicy miso ramen, shrimp pasta, chicken, pork bun, and a sushi roll (name escapes me). Each dish was flavorful and well-prepared, making the slightly higher price worthwhile. The location is convenient, service was attentive, and the ambience warm and inviting.
Overall a great dining experience.

Food was okay, service was not that great. We got our ramen before our appetizers. The appetizers ,Spicy Beef Gyoza and the Shrimp Wonton were pretty good with good flavor all around BUT as for the ramen was not good, not great. Let me start with mine which was the Spicy Asian, broth was actually really good, noodles weren’t great they almost felt under cooked, the egg was actually cold in the center and if you think I’m lying look at my photo and you can actually see where it’s cold, the chicken taste like it was just boiled in water with no flavor. Now on to the Texas Jiro Ramen, the egg my wife put it down into the broth because she heard me say it was cold in the center so I don’t know if that was an issue there but in the picture it looks the same as mine. Her noodles were good, would’ve preferred those in the Spicy Asian, broth was not to bad had a nice flavor to it but the pork seemed the same as the chicken, good sear but taste was same as chicken. The atmosphere was pretty cool because it’s right by a lake and didn’t seem to busy when we went. The service was so so not the best but not too much to complain about there.
