Interesting mix of southern and Indian food. I expected there to be fusion food, but it’s more that they have two separate menus with each. The lamb curry was fantastic. The chickpeas and rice were also very tasty. The samosa and roti were good dipped in the curries. for the southern food, the fried chicken and cornbread were good but fairly standard. the mac and cheese surprised me as being my favorite.

the staff were friendly and the food (cafeteria style) was served instantly. i would definitely recommend it and i will be back.

Delicious and flavorful Indian dishes with great combo options that include meat, warm Indian bread, and a side. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. Just note that they do not have restrooms.

Amazing diner. Would give 10 stars if I could. The owners are very friendly and amazing also food felt like home. They and their food made our last dinner in chicago memorable.

I went there twice the first time by myself and the second time with a friend. Both times the food was not good. The guy taking orders was also very unfriendly; he looked like a very miserable human being. When you own a business, you should be friendly to your customers.

I will never go back there and would not recommend it to anyone. The food is definitely not fresh it seemed like leftovers from the previous day.

So good with both cuisines!! I had no idea what to order so got (a) the butter chicken combo which was delicious and plenty and then (b) the two piece chicken, which was also delicious. I was traveling and thinking of doing something more formal but so happy I stopped here instead. Folks were nice to help me understand what to order.

Tried CHICKEN SAMOSA and MANGO LASSI. The samosa was savoury, spicy and tasty bringing the desi flavours on track but the mango lassi is as usual sweet and less natural mangoes. Preferred destination for UC desi community.

Small place in a busy neighbourhood of the city of Chicago, serving the best Indian food.

Although, the cost is not justified with the quantity but the quality is just awesome.

Preferred location for people near Hyde Park area or the south side of Chicago and the northern parts of Indiana.

Still have a lot of scope to improve. Expecting an outlet in the Downtown, where the real competition and choices of desi food lovers prevails.

Food was so good, i wanted to go back for seconds LOL! I love me a good Mediterranean/Indian cuisine. It gives you that home cooked meal experience if you’re away from home and on the go all the time. This is definitely the perfect place for that. The ingredients are natural and authentic. The food is great TRUST ME! If you are vegan this is also a great spot.

Go to lunch spot in Hyde Park. We’ve never eaten there, only pickup/delivery. The combos come in these great boxes with main, side, rice, samosa, and paratha. Their tandoori chicken and lamb curry are soooo good. Chicken briyani (only on weekends) is also fantastic. I live for their samosas. Honestly, I’ve tried almost everything here (*Indian menu; not Southern) and they’re all great. The Alo Gobi is really nice, and I love the flavor of the Alo Curry potatoes.

I had the chicken curry, collard greens and sweet potatoes. It was delicious and the staff friendly and responsive. The cornbread was sweet, true to the New Orleans style, but not nearly as good as the savory buttermilk cornbread you get in Georgia and Alabama.

Staff was super friendly and food was super good! This is sort of a see-food kinda place. You pick what you want from a glass display, so don’t expect freshly made dishes, but don’t let that deter you!
Though, if you’re looking for cajun food, this probably isn’t the place (I think they had fried chicken.)
